Satan's OVER ALL Strategy is 2 DIVIDE People Into GROUPS; And Then CAUSE PROBLEMS Between these Groups !
The Bible saids that "The wHOLE World is LYING In the POWER of the Wicked One" !
So What Satan has BASICALLY Done is INVENT Nationalism 2 Get Humans To GO 2 WAR & "Fight and KILL" Basically 4 Satans OWN PERSONAL (Amusement) ! ! !
And (RELIGION) Is "Also" a Part of Satan's Plan 2 DIVIDE Humans 4 Basically the SAME Reason !

Yes (to both)
Any set of beliefs can bring like minded people together into a group. This helps to form communities. However, since trying to make everyone believe the same things is not possible, practical, or wise this leads to people being in separate groups. Still, that does not mean that people can't belong to more than one group - I could go to church / temple / mosque / ... but still be part of a car club or a sports team or ... otherwise involved in other communities with people who do not share my religious beliefs.
My point is that is natural (and even healthy) for us to split into groups with like-minded people. The biggest problems, and the best things, can both arise from how we treat other people.

There will always be tension when 2 religious groups speak out about what the truth is. Having said that if you are christian for example, the Church ( if you are in a good one) will be like an extended family and draw every one together as equals.

Religion is neither bringing us together nor tearing us apart. Rather it is people being intolerant of others and wanting to change the world into the way they believe it should be that causes problems.

It forces people apart. It may bring people of the same belief together, but the rest of the world may dislike you. It causes wars, ends friendships, stops people from doing what they want in life, and causes innocent people and animals to die, often brutally. Religion is the source of most, if not all issues in the world.

I guess it depends on the religion. My religion, and I think most others, teach tolerance and mutual respect for people of other faiths. After all, we were all created by God. It's when fundamentalism gets thrown into the mix that that doesn't happen. Unfortunately activities of fundamentalists tend to be more sensational, and therefore get more news coverage, thus distoring the over all perception of religion.

faith, is quite a gadget of ideals and practices often related to devotion to, and worship of, an merchandise or a god. for this reason, there are various faiths. yet while the religion would not have a typical which reveals its source in somebody (study God) with the right authority and righteousness to set that common, then that faith would be based not on God’s common, yet by making use of itself common and it will unavoidably mirror the non-public critiques, guy-made traditions and private desires of people who make up that faith. Take the variety of worship presented by making use of Jesus of Nazareth. It united the disciples. And at the same time as the disciples tried to proportion this with others, they did not denigrate others, attack others or humiliate others. however the disciples have been themselves attacked, denigrated and humiliated, whilst Jesus exchange into. by making use of whom? by making use of the Romans, and in accordance to the e book of Acts, by making use of Jews besides. There could be a typical. that common could be set by making use of the guy who's to blame for existence. study God. comparing the practices and ideology of many faiths makes it obtrusive that they don't look to be conforming to the common set by making use of God. The questions then are: is there a real God who contraptions the common? Is it not lifelike to have faith that He might show this common to his human advent? And if so, the place do we detect his common?

It's a shame to say but it does seem that mans interpretation of Gods word Differs, and puts us into different groups. I only know that God will judge me, not the Pope not a priest and definitely not a congregation of holier than thou church goers.
