Of course many dont know their purpose in life, like:
Poor Atheists: They have no puspose they just eat drink procreate and eventually they think they will just die and never come back and all that they have done in life is meaningless.
Same goes for Christians: They also live for no purpose..many would disagree but its the painful truth. What they do in life doesnt make any difference good or bad doesnt matter, why? they say Jesus son of God took away all their sins. And all of them will go to heaven sinners or not. Wow that would be such a nice world that should turn into a jungle with murderers and rapists who will go to heaven just because they believe that God has a son. So basically since Jesus didnt take them to heaven already which was supposidly promised by jesus they are supposed to do nothing in this life but eat and drink and procreate and worry about nothing.
Finally I believe that I have a purpose in life, what is it? yes let me tell you. It is to do good deeds and work hard for them and try to avoid the bad deeds as much as I can. Why because God will judge me on what I do, the smallest and the largest of my deeds. I plant in this life so I could harvest in the after life. This is what God created us for, to worship him.
51:56. I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.

57. No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me.

58. For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever).

This world is nothing more than a test to us we pass or we fail
57:20. Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers; soon it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of wrong). And Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the devotees of Allah.. And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception?

Thats all to say :)
peace

Evolutionary purpose? To spread our genes, but I think the baby boomers took care of that for awhile so I really don't have to worry about the survival of the species.

My purpose is to help as many others as I can while I'm here, hopefully doing my part to leave the world a place that's worth living on in the future.

Philosophically speaking, the purpose of life is to experience being alive. Biologically speaking, the purpose of life is reproduction. In emotional terms, the purpose of life is to find love and enjoy the companionship of like-minded people. Socially, the purpose of life is to enjoy the comfort and benefits of family and community.

Since you're a Muslim, I assume you're fishing for a religious opinion. To be honest, I consider religion to be a virulent plague that has been destroying humanity's chances for peace and prosperity for thousands of years. Religion is a terrible evil that prevents the human species from achieving its intellectual and social potential.

Salam

The purpose was given when our father Adam was sent down to earth. It was explained to him in heaven by The Lord and it was given to us through portions we can handle insh'Allah when the hour comes it will be no more but to look and be aware of your Lord inshAllah Amin.
Even a weight of an atom will show its gain or loss.

The purpose of life is to make more life.

Philosophically, we must each find our own purpose.

Hindu point of view:

Do not waste your time on empty rituals but perform your basic duties faithfully. If you are a woodcutter, cut wood properly. If you are a fisherman, fish sincerely. That is all we have to do. And we have to be dedicated to our responsibility of doing our work dutifully without worrying about the result. If the cause is correct, the effect is bound to follow.

Our souls will be purified by this and once we die, we will be reborn as better humans in better circumstances. If we sin, we will be born in worse circumstances.

Eventually our souls will be purified in the many cycles of birth and rebirth and finally attain freedom from the carnal senses, like, vision, hearing, smelling, touch and sex! This is because the soul does not have a body, hence the senses do not exist. It is the eternal bliss that we all aim for (or we should).

This is the gist of Karma and Moksha!

Who ever said or proved that life had to have a purpose? Just because you *think* or *believe* that it does, does not mean that it actually does.

I agree...particularly depressing isn't it. Edit: purely attempt to be happy you're alive. one and all individuals are fairly fortunate to be alive. the probabilities of you being alive are fairly slender. It skill, in the journey that your mom and father hadn't handed off to fulfill, you does not be right here. an identical is going to your grandparents, your large grandparents.... save occurring the line and it would detect trillions upon trillions of circumstances that have been plausible to us not being right here. yet all of those circumstances handed off from the time we've been mere fish swimming interior the sea. that's possibly the only existence we are going to get. individuals have not got it virtually as good as us. one and all human beings could take up each and every of the happiness existence has to deliver and take care of one yet another peacefully, with love and admire because of the fact we are all on an identical boat and existence is emotional.
