Rush Limbaugh appears to have the Midas touch.
The conservative radio talk-show host turned an inflammatory letter written by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and signed by 41 of his fellow Democrats into a more than $4.2 million gold mine for the kids of Marines and law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty, all courtesy of eBay.
The Eugene B. Casey foundation Betty Casey coughed up more than $2.1 million to be the sole owner of the letter sent to the radio host's boss demanding that Limbaugh be reprimanded for a "phony soldier" comment he made on air. Limbaugh has pledged to match whatever was paid for the letter.

Typical Liberal Democrat response, Blame someone else, make false accusations against the other guy, claim someone is getting rich for donating money, blame everything on Bush, call other people nasty names, complain about everything, donate or give nothing, and cry, cry, cry.

Because they don't support the troops. They have no qualms about cutting funding to troops in combat zones, prematurely pulling them out of combat areas before the mission is complete, or stepping all over the sacrifices already given by so many servicemembers--all in the name of getting back at Bush. They will not stop at anything in their virulent hatred of the president, even if it's making themselves look like bloodthirsty harpies. They would rather that civilians and politics back home control the way war is waged rather than let commanders and troops on the ground--actually fighting the war and knowledgable about the enemy they face--make their own decisions on how to best win the war. They've done this since the beginning--second-guessing the president, military commanders, from day one; and this is the primary reason it's continued to go the way it has been. It's like having a bunch of them standing behind firefighters fighting a fire, second-guessing everything they do, trying to cut off the water supply because it's costing the city money, nitpicking about how the firefighters are fighting the fire, all the while wondering loudly why there's still a fire. This is literally how these people are thinking, and it's all to get themselves more votes, and more power. The security and the best interests of this country are second to having your favorite party "win", after all, right?

Gee, maybe because they're busy on other things.
Take Democratic Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, for instance - creator of the "hero miles" program that allows people to donate frequent flier miles to servicemen.
Now what's Rush doing? Giving away big wads of cash so he'll look good. Oh, if only the amount of money you gave away was a reliable indicator of how good a person you are. Not that he's even donated the money yet or anything.
What's the best way to 'support the troops'? Put one of those stupid bumper stickers on your car, effectively pay a massive bribe, or empower the millions of people who fly on American airlines to make a specific, useful contribution?
I wouldn't know. You're an idiot if you think anyone, let alone yourself knows who 'supports the troops'. What a bland, generic term. Maybe you should stop trying to talk for all members of the military for your own political purposes.

Yeah, like Limbaugh will part with $1.2 million of his own money. How would he support his drug habit? This is all hyperbole and b.s.
If Limbaugh really wants to support our troops, why doesn't he advocate ending this immoral 'war' and sending our valiant soldiers home - out of harm's way?
This 'war' is - and has been since Day One - all about OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. 675,000 Iraqis and 3,800 U.S. soldiers have sacrificed their lives so a handful of wealthy elitists, industrialists and power brokers can become wealthier and more powerful.
Bush and his propagandists (like Limbaugh, Hannity and Coulture) hoodwinked the American people and conned our courageous soldiers into thinking there was honorable purpose for this illicit, unconstitutional 'war'. We are not leaving Iraq for decades - perhaps generations - until we've sucked every drop of OIL from Iraq's sands.
THAT'S WHY Bush' number-one non-military 'benchmark' is trying to force the Iraqi Parliament into surrendering two-thirds of Iraq's oil fields to private foreign oil companies, so corporations like Exxon-Mobil can literally STEAL Iraq's most valuable economic resource;
THAT'S WHY we're building the largest embassy in the world on a 104-acre site in downtown Baghdad overlooking the 'new' puppet government installed by the Bush administration;
THAT'S WHY Halliburton is building fourteen (yes - 14!) new permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq.
We'll be there for a long, long time - as long as there's OIL to be profited from.

Because Rush and his fellow Republicans understand only one thing and that’s “MONEY”
If any one really supported the troops we would have been out of this war a long time ago but I have a feeling this war is more about money then any thing else.

It's the very least they can do for supporting this war-for-oil that has killed & maimed so many of our brave American soldiers & so severely impacted the lives of their families.
