I saw this video: http://freehovind.com/watch-id-4308235066145651150
Kent Hovind keeps claiming that he sat beside various Ph.D. professors in several different plane trips and that he out-debated them in under 5 minutes. He insults evolution through generalizations and plain ignorance.
How come real scientists don't attack creationism like Hovind attacks the Big Bang theory and evolution?
You know, give the creationists a taste of their own medicine?

Yah scientists shouldn't waste their time. But...it's so easy to smash creationism. They think a global flood happened and they believe in Noah's Ark!

Stoop to that level and embarrass themselves?? Hovind's lies discredit him well enough on their own... Real science doesnt need to attack anything.

Well, it's quite easy to smash creationism with facts, instead of ad hominem attack.
It's just that most people don't want to listen to reason.
I too would like to see a few hot debates -- as there are few ways to deal with an opponent continually lying to push their religious views on the population and lower scientific literacy.

Several do, like Ken Miller and Eugenie Scott, but the thing is, that unlike the creationists, scientists have better things to do, like curing cancer and landing a man on Mars. Creation is not a subject in seminars, and most scientists don't waste their time. The creationist make it sound like they are scientific in their approach, but further analysis shows otherwise. This is a good video debunking Ken Ham's notions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arMGLixFse4

The information is there and many, if not all, creationist claims have been totally debunked several times. A good example of this is the "London, Texas Hammer" which was debunked in 1985 and again recently, but is still being used to sway gulliable minds.

They have way better things to do with their time. Hovind is a nut case, I notice he never actually names anyone he supposedly out-debated. A fecking 5 year old could out debate that retard.

The evidence is out there for anyone who wants to study it. The creationists use tactics based solely on lying about anything they can to get things to look their way. We don't need to bring ourselves down to such a level as to get into battles with religious groups. Science does not deal in the supernatural.

Around 90% of the statements made against creationists here are refering to the intellectual ability rather than the point. If that is not ad hominem, what do you mean
