Gulliani is a joke.
One of 911 reasons to say no to Rudolph Giuliani
by Matt Dear, staff writer
October 11, 2007 4:03 PM
The conservatives of this country are continually showing how they really don’t have a clue.
Abraham Sofaer, a supporter of Rudy Giuliani and a member of the Hoover Institute at the Stanford University campus, held a fundraiser for Giuliani down the highway in Palo Alto.
All well and good, eh? Wait a sec…what’s the suggested donation amount? Why, it’s $9.11.
The uproar led the Giuliani campaign to distance themselves from the event, saying that they had nothing to do with it. Even Sofaer said that the idea wasn’t his and that some young Guiliani supporters came up with the idea.
And despite the Giuliani camp saying that they are just disgusted by this idea, you can be damn sure that they will accept whatever money the fundraiser raises. After all, Guiliani is Mr. 9/11.
It seems that there is never a speech nor an opportunity that Giuliani doesn’t bring up 9/11 and how that changed everything. He’s made a vast amount of money on the lecture circuit, essentially using the hero status that he seems to have been unfairly bestowed with, because he happened to be mayor at the time.
He should throw himself behind this idea and require that all his fundraising donations be made in the amount of $9.11. But, as one person responded to the news on the Talking Points Memo Website, “He’s probably more unhappy with $9.11 being a small amount of money.”
This is just another example of the conservatives exploiting the idea of 9/11 for their own monetary fulfillment. If, as the saying goes, we will never forget Sept. 11, 2001, why is there little outrage? MoveOn.org received more coverage with their “General Betray Us” ad in the New York Times.
People should stand up and demand that Giuliani refuse to accept any money raised at the so-called “fundraiser.”
It’s become clear that if any liberal politician or pundit touches on 9/11, the conservatives scream about treason and how liberals are aiding our enemy. Yet they can use 9/11 to meet their own political and financial gains time and time again.
The president uses 9/11 to stop anyone from questioning his tactics about anything. Giuliani uses 9/11 to make a buck.
I’m so glad that the politicians in this country truly honor and respect the memory and severity that 9/11 stands for. That fateful day is already losing its meaning. While people may never forget what happened that day, it’s apparent that it’s okay to use terrorism and death to make money. How oddly American.

i does no longer care if Golda Meir herself, or Einstein, or the different of my fellow contributors of the tribe donated to Rudy. he's a liar and a sort of masking up the certainty of 9/11. Ugh, disgusting.

Are those men supposed to impress me?
Rudy committed adultery while in the mayoral office.
Rudy brought liberal judges to New York.
Rudy "believes" in pro-life, yet, he proclaims the right for women to make a choice by law.
If the big three form both Dem and Rep party is all we have, America is in BIG trouble.

Jewish support aside, I will not be voting for any GOP candidates for any seat the the US government.
My view is that the republican candidates should just pack it in and save their money. But, that's just me.
With respects and regards

Ah, you still have Jews on the brain, don't you? Too bad you don't realize that most of the people who read your questions are just laughing at you.
