then they believe us to be a piece of adams rib removed by god hence woman?
if we came from adam and eve, wouldn't that be considered incest?
is this more believable statement to our origins?

If all humans came from Adam, ultimately, I would think we'd all look the same. Eve was made from his rib so she would have the same DNA, no? We'd all have the same DNA. But, then again, apparently if there's something we don't understand, instead of trying to figure it out, we just need to 'believe'.
Oops! Too late. Logic got through.
Edit: About the rib signifying equality-yeah, right. Explain then why, in the second story and chapter, God makes animals first to be a 'help meet' for Adam and then he decides to make a woman b/c the animals didn't work out. What happened to all-knowing? If you read the rest of the OT, there are plenty of instances where woman is considered worth less than a male and unclean.

God created us in his image, and yes God created Adam first and took a rib from him a breathed into eve, that's why women are called women, because we came from men!

You really think the incest statement shocks us? Any Christian who reads the Bible knows there was incest at the time of Adam and Noah. It had to be in order for the world to be filled. Big deal.
Women lower than man? Did you ever think about the choice of the rib? God could have made woman form Adam's toe. So she was always below him and he could walk on her. Or He could have made her from say part of his skull so she would the the head and rule. Instead He made her from Adam's rib so she could walk beside him and be his equal and partner.
