I have this young lady I work with, I am 41 and she is 19. We are both Very attracted to eachother and want to go out but age concerns us... I am a very hyper guy with a touch of A.D.D. and she also has a lot on energy... I am playful and youthful for my age and most think I am 30 or so, she is pretty much the same. I can't offer her youth but I can offer her Love, Financial security, and faithfullness. Every women I meet my age acts as if she were 60... Maybe I have not grown up, but I see it this way, earth has been around for billions for 4.5 billion yrs, and life for 17 million years, Energy is timeless and has no begining or end, and without energy the world would not exist that means in theory, some form of energy has always existed and will always exist and that time fram is not comprehendable by man. Man created time, based on BC and AD... Time is a usless tool in an infinte world, our little 80-100 yrs hear are so minimal and a grain of sand, so what does age matter?

Truthfully, while the difference in age between the two of you isn't so dramatic now, were you two to get married or have a long term relationship, over time, the difference would matter a lot. At age 31, I married a man 15 years older than me. His being 46 at that time wasn't real bad, but 10 years later, when I was 41 and he was 56, there was a major difference in our perspectives. I wanted to party, travel and do exciting things (go to the movies, museums, concerts). He was satisfied to stay home all the time. Eventually we divorced because he slowed down so much until we never did anything together as a couple. I was moving in one direction, he was satisfied to stay in.

No it doesn't, my boyfriend is 9 years older than me, and it may not be the same age difference than yours, but it is still similar. The only thing is what she is looking for, though she is attracted to you, does she want a relationship or just some fun? Truthfully go for it, but don't try to get in too deep and end up with your heart broken, being young she still has a lot a head of her, and you never know when things will change with her.

Personally I think age shouldn't matter but the truth is age do matter (it depends on the person). I'm in my early 20's and my spouse is in his early 30's we work out. I think teenagers are really immature. When I was a teenager all my friends would use older guys around your age for money. They tried to encourage me to do it but I didn't because I knew it was wrong to play with someones feelings...She knows you can offer her financial security so be CAREFUL!!!!!! If ya'll get together don't try to buy her love!! Another thing Ya'll work together. What if it don't work out and you have a nasty break up you'll have to see her every time you go to work. Never date someone that work with you it never works out!!! Be Careful Good Luck

Yes, age really matters. At different ages, people have different priorities in life. You are established, and she is just looking forward to being able to drink legally. I understand wanting to be around younger people because your own age group acts too old. But, it's hard to mesh such large differences well. You can't even take her out for a drink!

I can't imagine having dated someone more than 20 years older than me when I was that age. My parents would have had a fit.
Just give it a lot of thought. Because of the age gap, it would seem that you both would have different goals and wants in life.

Why should you let a minor detail such as age hinder what could be a wonderful, fulfilling relationship?

No offense, but I'd be concerned if my daughter was thinking of dating you. You do realize that she's young enough to be your daughter, don't you? I'm not trying to be rude, but you asked for our opinions.

Hey, guy, age is just a number, so it doesn't matter if you really love her and she really loves you. Take care!

19 is legal, so it's nobody's business but yours and hers. Good luck.
