"m chrtistan we dont think scientist r evil we kno god made cures for a reason but the evolution theroy is wut we dont lyk
( I MEEN HOW IN DA HELL CAN WE COME FROM A MONKEY)"

this is what wikipedia says:
Apes are the members of the Hominoidea superfamily of primates, which includes humans. Under the current classification system there are two families of hominoids:

* the family Hylobatidae consists of 4 genera and 13 species of gibbons, including the Lar Gibbon and the Siamang, collectively known as the "lesser apes"
* the family Hominidae consisting of orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, and humans,[1][2] collectively known as the "great apes".

A few other primates, such as the Barbary Ape, have the word "ape" in their common names, but they are not regarded as true apes by most authorities.

Except for gorillas and most humans, all true apes are agile climbers of trees.

They are best described as omnivorous, their diet consisting of fruit, grass seeds, and in most cases some quantities of meat and invertebrates—either hunted or scavenged—along with anything else available and easily digested. They are native to Africa and Asia, although humans have spread to all parts of the world.

Most ape species are rare or endangered. The chief threat to most of the endangered species is loss of tropical rainforest habitat, though some populations are further imperiled by hunting for bushmeat.

Ape and monkey are two categories made up by the human mind, based on observation of the said organisms in question. I personally wouldn't label a human as an ape or a monkey because of the obvious different proprieties apparent in humans and apes.
The category in question is just as irrelevant and inaccurate as any other made up by man. Things are what they are.
PS. anthropologist do not all agree on any one concept or system of causality. As causality is inherently flawed. If no event happens unless there is sufficient cause to bring about the said event, then what brought about the system of casualty? Did it exist forever?
If so, then there is no cause for causality, invalidating it as the determining force directing the universe.

Your just splitting hairs.
For the purpose of their statement it makes no difference whether they said monkey or ape. Those who believe strongly in evolution tend to believe that everything evolved from a single species of single cell organism. In that light, what difference does it make whether they said "come from a monkey" or "come from an ape?" It's like saying you descended from your grandfather instead of saying you descended from your father.

It's one thing to have strong beliefs and to stand up for what you believe in. It's another thing to expect everyone else to believe the way you do and treat those who don't like they're stupid or ignorant or closed minded. That goes for both sides of the issue. Believe what you will, but let others do likewise.

Maybe Fundamentalist Christians come from monkeys, but those of us who know a little better understand that Homo Sapiens Sapiens is much more like an ape than a monkey ... we have no tails.

Too, I'm religious, but not a Christian. Being religious does not necessitate a loss in gray matter.

Yup, an atheist is an ape and an agnostic is a monkey,Christians are fully human though.

So what - there are New World monkeys, Old World monkeys, and apes. And from which of these would you say we came from? As if anyone cares a monkey's uncle.

I don't think MOST people (religious or not) know the difference between an ape and a monkey unless they do a lot of learning on their own.. like me! ;P

You know what
the similarities prove there was a common designer and nothing else. There are no missing links.......it's a theory and a silly one at that. If you want to be related to Apes you go ahead and believe that. I see no evidence.
