You don't turn into a ghost when you die. You turn into a saint.
You don't feel anything. When people who are experiencing suffering die, it's a great relief to them, and it's often a comfort to those who love them, that the suffering is over.
You don't need to worry about death. You will, sooner or later, die. And the persons you love will die, too.
It's not death that's painful. It's being left behind. When you hear that someone has died, do not pray for them, but pray for their families and friends, who will be hurting.
Death isn't a curse. It's simply the final chapter of life. But you're going to be dead a good long time - no sense in hurrying it.

Sweetie, if you are thinking this way, you need to tell someone about it- your mom or dad, a teacher at school, your coach if you play sports, or another grownup you trust, like maybe your grandma. This kind of thinking is dangerous in someone your age, because it's a sign of depression, which is a disease. It's not normal for you to feel this way - and this needs to be looked at by a professional who can help you talk out whatever is bothering you, and perhaps will give you some medicine which will help you. Your mom and dad can make an appointment with your doctor, and he or she can help you find someone to talk to about this. I really think that there must be something about your life which you really don't like or feel you can't handle right now- like maybe someone you love is seriously ill or dying, and it's making you think about death and about what it's like. You need help, sweetie- please tell someone what's going on, and let them help you.
Death is the end of life-and once one is there, there is no turning back. Does it hurt? For most of us, yes it does. Do you feel it when you die? That depends on how it happens and what you die from. As for losing a loved one to death, that is an experience which is unique to each person- we all grieve and feel loss differently at different times. Being afraid of death is common to almost all of us- the reason we fear it is because we can't understand it. Almost everyone has a fear of the unknown or unexplained, and death is one of the experiences which fits into that category. Death is also a very FINAL experience.
I hope I have answered your questions. Good luck, and please, get yourself some help- it's the only way you will get better.

Well, everyone you know and yourself will eventually die. You are still very, very young to be worried about it. It's something you can't control. When it is a person's time to die, they die. Nobody knows for certain what happens after we die. It depends on your beliefs. Some with say nothing, it's over and some will believe there is an afterlife or that your spirit or soul lives on in another dimension. You should probably talk to your parents about your concerns.

Death is when the soul leaves the body, because a body without a soul is like a PC without a software (just an example). No one... No one! Will give you an answer about how does death feels like... Because no one ever died and came back to life and described how it felt. If you're asking about what happens to the soul after it leaves the body, religions have their differences in that, like for example in Islam (because I am a Muslim), we believe that our soul goes to God and he judges us about what we did in our life, god/bad...etc. If you want you can leave the religious part out of this, but no one knows how death feels like because as I said above... No one died and came back to life and described it... So there is nothing to fear about unless you've done really bad things in your life because when you die you will be punished for those stuff... Since you are 12 years old I don't think you did anything wrong in this age :D!
But... Every single person will feel death... There is not a single person who will be immortal what ever myths and tales say.
I hope my last statement didn't freak you out but it's the truth and you must know it and face it, sorry about that...
Hope this helped and answered your question.

I am scared for you...
I almost committed suicide at age 12.
I have scars on my wrists. I have lost trust in my parents.
I have lost everything.
I still have suicidal thoughts. It kills me to see kids like you think about death already. You haven't even lived through a quarter of your life.
Death is probably one of the most unknown things anyone could ever think about.
It depends on what you believe in. I can't tell you where you will end up after you die. I don't know. No one does.
As for feeling better, you don't need to have meds, or therapy, or anything. You need to have the DESIRE to feel better. If you want to feel better, you will. If you want to be happy, be happy. Nothing is going to stop you.
Good luck.
And death is not worth it...
cherish life. even when it's difficult.

I'm sorry to hear that you're so scared about death. Death is a mystery - that's why so many people are afraid of it. People give all sorts of answers, but I believe the only way to truly not fear death is to know that where you're going after you die won't be scary!
This is a pretty long answer, but try to get through it... :)
I believe that when God first made the world and everyone in it, He loved the people He had made. He wanted us to love Him too and to look to Him as a trustworthy Guide, Protector, and Caregiver. But after the first people He created decided to do things their own way, they were separated from the loving relationship that He had intended. Part of that separation from Him included death - spiritually and physically. Ever since then, people have struggled to guide, protect, and care for themselves, often without seeking His help.
But God still loves people and wanted to make a way for them to know Him and have a relationship with Him. So He sent Jesus Christ into our world, 2,000 years ago, to tell people God's message of forgiveness for the things they had done wrong.
So Jesus brought that message of hope from God, but the Roman government was angry with His message, so they put Him to death. Well, they meant it as a punishment, but God saw it as a good and perfect sacrifice. What I mean is that when Jesus died (He had lived a perfect life), God accepted His death as complete payment for what you owe God for the bad things you have done.
Something important to note is that three days after Jesus was killed, God brought Him back from the dead to show that He could conquer death! After that, many people saw Him alive again.
When you believe that Jesus' message and death were God's way of bringing you into a relationship with Him, you have nothing to fear from death! Death becomes just a crosswalk from this short (and sometimes difficult) life to an eternal, beautiful, happy life with Him after you die.
God loves you and has a plan for you. You don't need to fear death anymore once you are at peace with Him. :) Tell Him what you're afraid of, and He will help you through it.

This is a very philosophical and religious/spiritual question. In all times people have asked this question. Medically speaking death is when breathing, the beating heart, and the brain not longer function and can no longer be fixed.
Others believe in heaven and others in reincarnation. Others see it as a beautiful part of the natural cycle of life.

Bill Hicks said it better than I can. Here's a youtube of his explanation.

The answer I have learned is that death is a mystery. We don't know what is on the other side. For all we know it's quite nice. It's nothing to fear, certainly.
Focus on being alive. That's what matters, LIFE.

Tell your parents to take you to the doctor.
I have had depression for my entire life. I never got treatment until I was about 26 or 27, and I felt better immediately.
