God is an idea that explains existence. You ultimately don't need to know whether "he" exists or not. Life will and has just gone on regardless. I think "belief" or "faith" in God is kind of an oxymoron. Do you have faith that you have a back of a head or is it just there and would you be alive without it? As for me, I believe that God is ground of existence itself (like the movie screen on which the movie of ordinary life is projected) and so I don't worry about whether he exists or not. I don't "believe" in God; I trust in Life, which I believe can be called "God."

God was not created, God simply always is, always has been, and always will be.
In our finite minds, we cannot comprehend this. Our lives have a distinct beginning and an end, so we cannot understand how something could NOT have a beginning. What's interesting is we can believe in eternity when we think about the future--we know that there is no end to time. What we don't realize is that there was no beginning.
It's hard to wrap your brain around, I know, but it just requires faith. Time is circular with no beginning or end, going on forever, not linear.

God is the Creator who is not composed of the physical matter around us, but is a Spirit who exists outside time and space (matter).
In that existence, He lives outside of linear time, so the question is irrelevant, seeing as it is dependent upon time and space.

As previously answered, God has always existed.
If we are to come to know that God exists, He will have to reveal Himself to us. I think He does that for those who seek Him. But you have to ask yourself why you would seek Him.
