Not all of them, but many. Here is why;
Tryptophan is an amino acid in the blood stream. It competes with other amino acids to enter brain cells. When insulin is produced from carbohydrates, it clears all amino acids except tryptophan. Once tryptophan enters it converts to 5-hydoxytryptophan and then to serotonin. A high level of serotonin causes positive moods, which is why most people enjoy eating sweets and grains. Too much stress can cause low levels of serotonin. Low levels of serotonin can cause depression, insomnia, and aggressiveness. Serotonin usually acts as an inhibitor; preventing certain chemicals to flow that cause theses behaviors. High levels of dopamine and serotonin cause schizophrenia, while low levels of both cause depression.
An overdose of serotonin inhibitor (serotonin syndrome) causes a variety of symptoms including hallucinations, confusion, fluctuating blood pressure, seizures, high temperatures, stiffness, and irregular heart beats. This can become a lethal condition very rapidly. Incidences of serotonin syndrome appear to be on the rise as more people are under regular
What the Christians are really offering:
Tryptophan is an amino acid in the blood stream. It competes with other amino acids to enter brain cells. When insulin is produced from carbohydrates, it clears all amino acids except tryptophan. Once tryptophan enters it converts to 5-hydoxytryptophan and then to serotonin.
Prayer and church mass, raise the level of serotonin, and too excessive practise of prayer and mass, cause an overdose of serotonin and the eventually the process becomes irreversable.
High levels of serotonin cause; mental confusion, hypomania, hallucinations, agitation, headache, coma, fluctuating blood pressure, seizures, high temperatures, stiffness, and irregular heart beats.
So what the Christians are really offering, is a future mental illness.

Some people from all religions suffer from mental illness.
Some atheists have mental illness as well.
So do some agnostics.
Are you implying that ALL Christians are mentally ill because we believe in God?
That's unkind. You know very well that it is not true.
I think you're asking this "question" to be unkind.
It's unfortunate that there are people like you who are so prejudiced against those who do not share your beliefs.

Yes. They can be Oppressed by demons through Fear and Other Pressures. They can have problems in the Brain. They can have Bad Programming in the Soul. The Soul is an Invisible Spiritual Super-Computer that connects the Spiritman with his,her Body. This is Why GOD Tells us to RENEW our MINDS (Soul) with the Word of GOD. To Reprogram our Souls with Righteous Thinking. Sinfull Thinking Patterns in the Soul are like Viruses in Computers.

I often think that they all do and that their religion drives them nuts. More objectively, I see that Christians and non-Christians can both have mental illnesses. One of my lovers is a psychiatric nurse. I may ask her about her estimates of how many patients have various religions.

No, but many mentall illnesses begin by an irrational religious fear. A high percentage of people with mental illnesses began with fears that god was going to punish them.
