You need to be honest, but you're going to have to let go of your expectations. You have deceived her, and trust is a really hard thing to build back again. Based on her sexuality, you have to realize not only may she discontinue an intimate or love relationship with you, but it may be hard for her to consider a friendship after the deception. There is a site called Surviving Infidelity (not exactly applicable in your case, but it deals with deception and trust), as well as one called (I think) The Truth About Deception. There are some really understanding people out there. Good luck, be honest, and just let go.

I guess this just goes to show that telling a second lie to cover the first doesn't work. If you haven't met her yet, don't. If you have, you're in a tight spot of your own making. Best to break it off and don't tell her because not only will she feel rejected, she'll also feel duped. It would serve you right if she was really a he. Ha!

You know the old saying "You made your bed, now you can lie in it"...
It applies here with a vengeance. You lied about not only what kind of person you are in the inside, but what kind of person you are. Period.
What you did was deceptive and unfair. There is no way to tell her without entirely devastating her idea of who you really are. Good luck.

well first off, just write her a letter,
in it it should say, how much you care for her, and what it is about her that you love most,
Then
in a separate note, write,
I have a confession, something I have been trying to tell you
Say this is difficult for me , and I am sure it woll be difficult for you,
Say i want to be the man of you dreams, BUT I was born a woman,
I hope you can forgive me, for not telling you earlier,
but I am sure you can understand that this isn't the type of thing that one can easily say, Nor the type of thing one tells everybody.
I will understand if you need time to deal with this,
I will await your call,
With All my Love,
Yours truely,
ANA

She is in love with a lie that you have been giving her. So give her the truth and let her decide for herself. Prolonging it will not make it any easier.

Better tell her fast before she finds out on her own. She should have known before this and she may not forgive you so prepare for that
