Great question. What if God was one of us?
Would we even recognize Him?
There is a little bit of God in all of us. I think.

Most likely not. If God was here on earth, he would probably just appear as an ordinary person. Even if he approached you, you would still probably not know. But it would be sweet if he approached you and started talking to you because he is the master of the universe. I think the only question is, what would you talk to God about?

He tells us when He returns that the sky will be rolled back as a scroll and every eye will see Him. Believe me, you will know that it is God. You want have to guess.
God isn't walking around on earth and He said if anyone said that He is - don't believe them.

I see God/Christ in EVERY person on the street or in the shops. Think about that ... what if you are being 'rude' to a person who is raggedy and smelly and homeless and that is God 'checking things out' here ... because you can't TELL when God or Christ is here, and you should treat EVERYONE with the respect and honor you would treat either of THEM.

Maybe by all the people following him, with insane amounts of tears streaming down peoples faces, probably when the breeze stops blowing and all the noise as he passes by just mutes like a tv. Like when he is floating down the sidewalk as folks stand helpless on the sidewalk while his spirit travels through saving souls. I'm getting excited about this one!

No.
I've imagined something similar in atheistic terms (take too long to explain) but logically, a being of infinite power could walk about without being noticed if he wanted to.

No, not while he is around. Probably later.
Read the story of Martin the Cobbler, by Leo Tolstoy!

His voice is too powerful to even hear. Only the pure in heart will see God. Are you Pure in heart?
