Proverbs 31:8-9

8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
ensure justice for those being crushed.
9 Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
and see that they get justice.

Keep in mind the person who is an oppressor, the person who is taking justice from the poor and the widows, may not simply be wiling to give up his power

So are we to give up if it leades to conflict???

Or are we to obey the command of God even if it means that we Gather our forces for War???

God wants us to obey, he never said its ok to disobey him, if it keeps you away from battle

These are the words of Lemuel, the things which his mother taught him.
The following words are not so qualified, so I think they speak with even a greater weight of authority:

"If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor,
he too will cry out and not be answered."
Proverbs 21:13

and:

"Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

If you say, "But we knew nothing about this,"
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?"

Proverbs 24:11-12

Using force to depose a tyrant is tricky, and it is not always necessary. It is exposure that ruins tyrants. The prophets did not wage war on their kings but brought the sins of the kings to light. But a tyrant is only a symptom. It is the people who are the problem.

Someone once said it is easier to accept a lie than to accept the world that makes the lie possible. No tyrant can prevail without the help of many accomplices willing to hold the rest of the people hostage. But eventually they overreach themselves and the reality of their misdeeds becomes undeniable. Speaking up is personally dangerous, but it helps the process of exposure along tremendously.

A tyrant defeated by force of arms is merely defeated, not eliminated. He or his successor will be more careful next time, knowing there are still plenty of people who will join him for personal benefit. A tyrant defeated by the awakened conscience of the people will have a much harder time recruiting minions to rebuild his tyranny. In other words, you don't stop a tyrant, you convert the people who shade their eyes and allow his tyranny.

Jesus said he came to fulfill the Old Testament, not do away with it. I like your question, part of a deacons job at my church is to take care of the widows, that came right out of the old testament. Remember thats all the Apostles had to preach from was the old testament. You are right my friend, take up for the widows and orphans, stay with in the law and use the law to your advantage. But remember also that the Lord said revenge is mine I will repay. Its not your job to exact justice, just protect, judgement comes from Christ alone.

Jesus did now not come to overturn the old regulation he got here to make sparkling it. working example, the Jews have been asserting which you will have the flexibility to now not carry out paintings on the Sabath after which accused jesus of breaking the regulation whilst he overwhelmed grain in his hand to consume it. Jesus defined to them that they are those breaking the regulation by utilizing having human beings go through unjustly for it. The regulation wasn't positioned right here for individuals to go through yet to direct them to sturdy deeds. The Jews would save an high priced animal caught contained in the airborne dirt and dust yet somebody could now not weigh down some grains of wheat to consume whilst they have been hungry? The virginity became some lady that became promised to a guy that became now not unswerving yet became a floosy. This lady in question became accused of snoozing around and being very loose in habit, adultress, and of their eyes very grimy. If it became shown that those have been faulse accusations then the adult men would all pay dearly and set this lady up for existence financially. If it became shown authentic that she wasn't any sturdy then she would be stoned and from time to time stoning did now not ensue and the guy became run out of city rather. that could be a similar God, the hot testomony is basically clarified by utilizing Christ. The old testomony is approximately how the leaders went overboard at instances. Like contained in the begining whilst Adam became instructed by utilizing God to now not consume of the tree that became forbidden yet then Adam instructed Eve to now not even touch it.

I see your question.

The Bible is a very interesting book because it has all of the questions in the front, and all of the answers in the back.

Gandhi spoke up for others and was fully able to avoid a shooting war. But he did start a non-violent war of change in his society.

Proverbs; It may be man's present old testament; but it is not God's. (God's old testament is the law of Moses ( a point of division in Christianity in USA presently).

I am relatively sure that what you speak of could probably be accomplished by means other than a violent crusade. We have laws, courts, and lawyers.

I think this is very applicable to those in America without health insurance, especially children.

Unfortunately, Congress recently upheld the SCHIP veto. I would encourage you to write your congressperson and ask him or her to answer to these verses, if he or she voted against SCHIP.

verse 8 means this to me... protect one another
verse 9 means this to me... stand as a character witness on their behalf

why do we have to go to war?? follow the Lord and put your trust in him... he will take care of those who believe in him... if your life is lost through your belief, then it shall not be in vein...
