no, but they both have a high amount of sodium in them, which causes you to retain water and make you look and feel bloated

I think they have roughly 1 calorie for every 100 mls. So a regular bottle of 1.5L diet soda should have around 15 calories at most, they're definitely for you in terms of cutting down on calories compared to fruit juices and regular soda.
Everyone says water is better for you - I'm not arguing with that, but honestly, how many people just drink water alone?

yeah it does. Every drink has calories. The only drink that doesnt have calories is plain drinking water (if you add somethings like Kool-aid or Crystal light, then its not water anymore, thus it has calories)

Yes, just because it's diet it doesn't mean they have no calories. Pay attention on the can, you'll see.

No, but they're still rotten for your body. Just because they don't have calories, doesn't make them good for you.
Drink 'em in moderation, like a treat.

oh yeh! more than you need.
and loads and loads of artificial sweeteners.
you'll do better drinking regular sodas OR just drink juices or water.
:D
studies were made recently comparing regular with diet... and found regular was better because of the lack of artificial sweeteners to replace the sugars. no one loses weight drinking soda of any type. matter of fact we get most of our weight (believe it or not) by drinking sodas... energy drinks... juices that are less than 15% real juice... other artificially flavored drinks....
