but works is what saves.....how good do you have to be? What works do you have to do? How do you know when you've done enough to be saved?

Excellent question, Suzi! I've often wondered that same thing! My own dear sister is LDS and believes that good works are needed, along with belief in a Jesus who is brother of Lucifer, for salvation.

I praise God that MY Jesus is the Creator, not the brother of Lucifer!

God bless you!

I don't know of any Christian groups that deny that we are saved by God's grace. However, some Christians (like Roman Catholics) believe that good works are a natural and necessary outflowing of faith. Recently, the Lutherans and Roman Catholics reached an agreement on justification/salvation.

Of path the Latter-day Saints suppose in being stored. We do now and constantly have. How can Jesus be known as the Savior if he on no account saves any individual. It is the entire message of the booklet of Mormon, as it's of the Bible, that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the sector.

Great question. It is not answerable by those with the false gospels of works.

Next step is, ask those who say repentance is required for salvation, how much repentance will do it? What if I sin, and what amount of sin will "push me over the cliff"? What amount of repentance from sin will truly "save" me?

In grace we need work to reach the grace to be save.
the will of God or chose .
Rom 11:6-8
And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace.
But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written:
“ God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see
And ears that they should not hear,
To this very day.

Good one. I agree.

Hey CJ-Read Jesus' letters to the Churches in Revelation. Jesus tells them to REPENT.
Read Rev.2:5; 2:14, 2:16; 2:21,22; 3:3; 3:19
Don't repent??? Are you kidding?!

If not for grace, there would be no salvation.

My Church teaches this. It is also what I believe.

Have you pounded this issue quite into the ground yet, or will there be more?

Suzie, Thanks for asking this question. I have also asked it before and I have not got a "real" answer. I do hope that someone will be able to come up with a good one. I am looking forward to reading them.
