It is almost humorous to hear how many times people answer with mormon is a cult blah blah blah...
If you step out of your own little reality for 2 seconds can you not see how your own religion and beliefs sound just as crazy to those that dont share them as you claim mormons do?
Your religion was founded on someone claiming something too. Your religious facts are backed up by your own Biblical interpretations, too. How is what you believe any different or any less cultish then mormons???
Has anyone that think mormons are so crazy or in a cult ever stepped foot in a mormon church and really seen how it is they worship? Did you know that the members of the mormon congregation do all the talks (sermons) and lessons and teaching and so there is no clergymen talking down to them indoctrinating them or brainwashing them because they themselves are the ones teaching the lessons? I really wonder how many people really do have a clue what a mormon church service is like.

Telling me why mormons are wrong is not in any way going to asnwer the question I am asking.
Look at your religion from an outsiders perspective. How can you claim it is any less crazy then the mormons?

you should remember that not ALL christians feel that way, but yes it is wrong to judge someone. I guess some people might believe that if it isnt their religion, then its wrong, which is totally false. plus you have a point, and most religions have a profit or messiah of some sort.

It just makes me laugh. *Most* of the people who claim we're a cult are quoting The Kingdom of Cults by Walter Martin or they're just going off of what their preacher/pastor said. They're not even quoting the bible to define us that way. Clearly, we are viewed as a threat. People should question why they feel so threatened by us if they are so secure in their own religion.

Mormons settle for Jesus Christ as their Lord, and Savior. that's what it meant to be a christian for hundreds of years. The Christian Apologists began to criticize Mormons because of the fact they did no longer trust numerous the concepts the Mormons had. Then they further to the definition of what makes a Christian because of the fact they weren't winning their battles.

I don't think that Mormon Christians or "Orthodox" Christians have "crazy" beliefs. It's entirely possible to disagree theologically without pejoratively referring to others as "cultists."

i agree. Mormons about the only ones that live in the 21st century too. I had no idea other churches worship like we live in 500 a.d., until i went to one.
We didn't change the bible either. We are one of the few religions that still use the oldest version of the bible. We use the king james version.
And we do believe in Jesus. His name is the name of our church.

Really, why do you care? I don't give a flying fig what the Mormons do or who preaches to them and blah, blah, blah ......so why are you so interested in Cristianity?? If you want to cross over, then be quiet about it and come on.

I don't lose sleep over it. I think religion is wonderful and doesn't matter which religion. It's the part of trying to convince about anything outrageous that gets to me and so many more.

What's the beef? You don't believe Jesus Christ is God. No amount of choir singing, individual sermons and beautiful rituals are going to change that.
