I know women are not allowed to preach God's word, in the church. But I want to know know and understand if women are allowed to preach the Good News outside the Church (outside a body/group of believers, who father in a church building, but in a public place where there is no eliable man present to preach the Good News or unbelieving people dont want to attend a church but know about the Christian faith from me, as a Christian), to other (younger or older) women?

Let's say a younger or older women, or even an unbelieving man, comes up to me, and what to know about the Christian faith, about God and Jesus. Am I not allowed to spread the Good News about Jesus Christ, to others outside the church?
Please help me understand, by including some Bible verses (where I can read up on it) As a young Christian woman, I know I still have much to learn. I need some guidance on this. (My husband is not a believer, so I can not ask him about this)Thank you and God bless.

Ryan, I see men and women as equals, but desire to please God, by obeying His word, about women not having authority l over men. I believe it would be insulting to both God and Man, if I did, as Woman. I am sorry you feel that way about me. Please do not judge me, for I am not judging you.

Hinds Feet, I understand. I believe it would be best if I just seek out and carefully read the Bible, to find the answer. I do believe it is not wrong for women to preach the Word of God, but just not in the Church, where men are present and able to. Just wanted some guidance from other Christians.

Women are allowed to preach the Gospel..
Women are not allowed to hold positions of authority over the men in the church, they would not be instructing men..
There are churches today that are ordaining women, and this is not scriptural, but we should not go from one extreme to the other either..
You should always be ready to preach to those outside. Especially women as that is really mostly a women's ministry, to other women..
Biblically women can be Deacon, Elder, or Prophet. All three of these positions we see that women held in the Bible..
They were NOT Apostles, Pastors, Bishops, as these positions require that you take authority over men..
Dear Sister, God will bring lots of people for you to preach to and you should be ready..
My wife and I both preach on the streets and to others anywhere.. We are Pastoring a small church here and she takes charge of the ladies, but never takes charge of the men.. Really pretty simple..

Wow. That was an estrogen filled performance if I ever saw one! Satan tempted Eve. Why? Cuz she was hot, and Satan is just a player? Mmm .. no. Women are weaker than men, physically and spiritually. You tell a woman she has a nice @ss and she's naked before she downs her second wine cooler. This feminist movement you idolize ... since its beginning more men have slipped a dollar bill in the thong of a stripper humping a pole than have stood up when a lady enters the room. Women are meat, and most women will be damned if they are not acknowledge for their sexuality. This is how we show our 'equality'. Not only are we weaker, but we are stupid. Women cannot say 'no' to anything that praises them. This makes them weak, because of their vanity. Men DO NOT lead where women take over. They just don't. They will leave, and let the women have their way. You know how a fox loves a hen house. The body of christ is infested with rebellion, and the women's movement is an example. Women dump their kids in day care, push fathers out of their home, hate their wombs and admire themselves for it all. You think the survival of christianity was due to people who wouldn't mess their hair up or break a nail? Please. Today's women couldn't lead a pack of rats. Oh, by the way ... since the 'revolution' women have been 'under' men ever since. The porn industry has made a ton of money because of it. Way to go feminists revolution! Women are now drunks, whores and gangsters!!! Yippee!!

So you mean to tell me that of the five fold ministry gifts (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher) women can only be an evangelist or teacher, as long as its not in a church? That makes no sense to me. If this were true, then why did Paul say, we were neither jew nor greek, male nor female in the Body? If we as women, kept silent, that would go against the very plan and Word of God. What about in Joel when it says that your sons and daughters will prophesy? And that His Spirit will be poured out on ALL flesh, that includes women doesnt it? I do not read anywhere in the word that women are not allowed to preach, just like no where in the Bible does it say that God helps those who help themselves, or that black people are cursed. MISinterpretation has contributed to so much division in the Body. As if we really need anything else to divide us besides the enemy.

Any one of The Chruch may share The Good News... but as for further instruction(which would put the woman in a position over the man) that would not be proper.... the exception is in women instructing women in their biblical roles... that is for women to women.

much of this involves "tradition" and cultural issues as well... and you have the issue of your husban not being of The Church... you are to be an example of The Church to Him... and to otheres... that is what all of The Church are to do...

this is not the forum for detailed instruction... and you need very detailed instruction... seek out those in your congregation, if you have a church home, who are leaders... start among the women and seek their council and then tothe Bible teachers... If youdo not have a Church home you need to find one as soon as you can... I recomend smaller congregations of Bibleteaching folks over the "mega" Churches... you need personal / family leadership... not canned"studies"... seek God's people personaly for assistance and strength.... not YA....I invite you to my website. It might give you some things to think on... and if you have a question you may contact me from the site. it is nothing fancy. Just me going on about some of the God stuff... http://www.mikesfaith.com

Actually men and women are supposed to take part in spreading the word and educating others about the good news of the Kingdom. When a qualified male is present, he should oversee this activity. If none is to be found, the most qualified female should take the lead. (I believe she should cover her head somehow as per 1 Corinthians 11 but I won't weigh you down with that).

Im sorry for the harsh remarks of some....

Women are allowed to preach beloved. The idea that they are not is being abandoned in many denominations considering the fact that 85% of the people in church are women. I am a devout Christian myself so I acknowledge God's Order..in the home and in the church but women do have a place to impart wisdom, as long as it is done 'in order'.

The challenge is that in some instances women are usurping the order and spiritually tearing down the church. Its that, which we have to be wary of.

Baloney. The Methodist church has licensed preachers since the 1700s.

The admonition against women preachers comes from Timothy and Titus, which were known to be inauthentic in 367AD when the canon of the Roman Catholic Church was formed. They included those books, however, because they seemed to legitimatize the strong control of the church by the priesthood

Paul also had an admonition to women in a letter to the church at Corinth. Corinth was an important port, and because most ships *had* to stop at Corinth, it became the "Las Vegas" of the ancient world, providing drink, food, gambling, and female companionship. There were 1000 prostitutes working in and for the local temple, and many more independent streetwalkers. Paul issued a number of injunctions in letters to Corinth that were not desirable elsewhere.

In fact, Paul had a protege, Thecla, who was considered equal to the apostles. You can read all about her in the Acts of Paul and Thecla. That book was omitted, perhaps accidently, perhaps for the same reason Timothy and Titus were included, in the Roman Catholic canon, but it's part of the Greek Orthodox tradition, and included in Ethiopian Bible, and scholars consider more authentic than many other books of the bible.

I think women need to be especially cautious to *share* the good news, rather than to *force feed* it, as so many men do. It is expected that men will be jerks, but when women do this, there is an even worse reaction, and they get referred to by a technical term for a maternal canine. It would do us all good to remember that "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." Instead of making ourselves - and the horse - miserable, it makes sense to salt the oats....

Your first statement is a Pauline doctrine, one that I happen not to agree with.

The teachings of Yeshua Messiah [pbuh] has no gender bias when it comes to spreading the Word. So, yes, women are allowed to spread the Good News.

Peace be with you.
