I read somewhere that you should have one litter box per cat. I have two 8 month old kittens and they both use the box, but if there's anything in it, they won't go in it. I have to clean it at least two times a day. I also started letting them go out, and they do a lot of their business outside.

Did you change brand of cat litter recently? I've tried every cat litter under the sun -- the best (and most expensive) is the Tidy Cats Crystals (not the Crystals Blend, just Crystals). It doesn't clump, however, all you do is remove the solids and mix in the urine. I know, it sounds gross, and I was reluctant at first. I do try and scoop some of the urine out but it's okay to leave it in there. If I take out a cup or so, I just add a cup or so of clean stuff. It's about $3-$4 more than the traditional kind, but I love it and my cats love it. It always smells fresh it's soft on cats paws.

well my cousin have 2 cat one old and young. they both use 2 litter box with tidy cat crystles but the one cat i have uses the nature litter box. its a cat litter but with few tree bark parts (FRESH TREE SMELL) to make them feel relax when they uses it.And smells great when cleaning out instead of the smelly one u know.

Try cleaning the box daily...they might be overfilling the box without you knowing...the only time the cat here ever pooped outta the box was when he deemed his box full. And crapped where he wanted. So try that first

Just some thoughts...

Try different litter.

Clean it out every day.

Gently reinforce him..."no!" then move his mistake into litter box and praise "yes!"

Ha she had a check up? He is healthy? Good luck.

There are 2 types of litterbox fillings you can get. Sand or crystal. My cat likes crystal. Sand is good for clumping. My cat hates sand because it getshis fur picky. Maybe you should try crystal.

It may not be clean enough. Cats are pretty picky. Good luck. 2D

is he just peeing everywhere?
it's natural for un-neutered males to "spray", it's a form of marking their territory

but if he's taking a dump everywhere, i don't really know
