Standard sit ups wont do much for your lower abs. Crunchs are better for your back than sit ups. I'd try crunchs but with your legs straight(hold your feet down by putting them under your bed or somethiung). Or better yet, do the crunches on an incline, head at the bottom.
And/or lift your legs about 6 inches and hold it for 30 seconds or so, repeat.
These will work the lower abs...And, these excercises dont change you over time. It take months.
Finally, these can be done daily and your visible success is also impacted by your body fat. The more body fat, the less visible the muscle tone will be.
Good luck

Cardio is probably your best option. If you build your ab muscles, it will just push out the 'pudge' a little further. Burning calories is your only option. Eating less would also help, just make sure your taking in good calories and lay off any sweets.
Plus, if you can see any of your abs, you're in excellent shape, I wouldn't be too hung up about it.

reverse crunches? regular crunches work your upper abs. Find a Pilates book that describes this one: Lay on the floor or mat. raise both legs 3-4 inches off the ground (keeping legs together and straight) and hold for 5 count. Keep abdomen in. Slowly raise until legs are at a 90 degree angle. hold for 5 count. slowly lower until legs are back in original position 3-4 in. off ground. REPEAT. Do in 3 sets of 3 or 5.

Sit ups are the key, you do 100 a day for a month and the pudge will be gone.

dont stress sweetheart. A little pudge??? Wait until your in your 30's and had a few kids. Enjoy the good things you have now about your body because trust me, gravity takes over and it ain't so pretty.
You'll look in the mirror one day and wish you could get back to the "little pudge" you have now. Woman always think their fat. Then the day comes where we really are fat and look back and think, "I was not fat at all."
Does that make sense??? I hope I got my point out clearly.

you generally tend to loose weight from the last place you gained it to the first
you can work your abdominal area all you want, but that won't remove fat from that one spot as the way your body stores fat and burns it is more systematic.
fully body exercise and a good diet will bring you into form as a whole.
sorry thats not what you probably want to hear, but its the sad fact of the matter.
it its only subtle, 5 lbs will make a huge difference.
some people will argue spot training works, but there is no evidence to support it.
do light body building. lifting burns as much fat as cardio, and tones your entire body. for ever 2lbs of lean muscle you pack on, your body burns about 1200 calories (about a half of poun) a week to feed the muscle. and no, you won't look like a she-woman

I had the same thing. What you need to do is work that area and eat more potein. It will build muscle there and it will fade away (remember your body doesn't spot reduct fat, so put muscle there instead.
