when they are working correctly you won't get much better-their image quality is second to none. but if they go wrong they can be a headache-so get an extended warranty. with the possible exception of samsung and some of the high-end makes (vivandi-bang and olufson etc) i wouldn't take a lot of notice on how "superior" makes like panasonic /sony etc are compared to LG as they supply such companies with a lot of their parts (including the plasma/LCD displays).

if they are anything like their mobiles,I wouldn't touch them,play safe and go for a dearer brand,samsung,Sony etc:they all have a good reputation
