I just recently met a beautiful girl on Match.com, and we set-up a date. The date went absolutely amazing, and we of course made plans for this coming week. I just received an email, but haven't responded yet from her saying that her sister is in town for the weekend, and she wanted to know if I want to go out with drinks for them. I really want to go, but I don't know, because I am worried about the sister, Should I tell her I have plans and just go on the date this coming week or do I go out with them tomorrow night?

What I am trying to say is, is it too early to hang out with the sister in tow, I don't know this girl that well yet and I don;t want her sister to make a judgement about me and sway her decision

I think you should go, the visiting sister may get the wrong idea if you don't and it might shake things up for the upcoming date. Just go and be yourself & don't try to be over charming.. your date has definately put in a good word about you if you've only been on 1 date and you're already meeting the family!! Or the whole thing could be a set up and they plan on seeking revenge for a horrible date ;-) lol j/k

If you're not comfortable with the arrangement, tell her that. Tell her that you thought the first date was amazing, that you're still thinking about it, and how hopeful you are about the future with her. But, you're afraid of jinxing what is fragile chemistry by introducing family members. Reassure her that you will want to meet her family (and that you're sure they're lovely), but you'd like to have a few more dates alone with her first. If you can make it sound sincere, she'll understand and cover for you with her sister. You'll also get big points for being upfront. This is a simple and understandable situation.

Well since her sister is coming to town, she's obviously like to spend time with you both. Don't think of it as "meeting the family" just yet.

The situation would be different if her sister actually lived there... then it would be a meet the family type situation...

But in this scenario, just take her up on the invite...go out, have some drinks and enjoy yourself!

Well why re you worried about the sister? Go on the date, if she was that amazing, now you get to see her in front of people she is very comfortable around. And her sister gets to meet you. its win win man. if shes a freak its gonna come out.

Don't over think it! If she asked you to go then she wants you to go, otherwise she wouldn't of mentioned it. She may want her sister to check you out. That is good news. If she wants her sister to meet you then she likes you and wants her opinion. Don't drink toooo much and try to make a good impression on the sister.

Don't you get it. She called her sister to come check you out. If you blow off this date you could be blowing off the girl. Don't worry about the sister. Just be yourself, on your good behavior of course. All sis wants to know is if you are a bum that is going to hurt her sister. Show her that is not you and you will be fine.

It should be fine to go out with them for drinks. Just don't drink a lot and be respectful...no rude comments etc. Keep it casual and fun and it should be good. It might even score you points with the girl.

OFGS. Grow up.

Maybe since she just met you on line, she wants her sister along to protect her in case you turn out to be some kind of wacco!

Go out with them and have a great time. DO NOT put a move on the sister.

As long as it's just drinks, go and be charming. She probably just wants her sister's opinion on you--like it or not, we like to know how our friends and relatives react to a guy at first meeting. It's partly a safety issue.
