Its almost become the same fight with different names. Plus, its produced alot of foolish assumptions within the populus that seems to make all people who have never taken martial arts but watch UFC think that the only 3 respectable fighting arts are Muay Thai, BJJ, and Wrestling.

I really enjoyed it more when it was like UFC 1 and 2.

i agree the ufc needs more matches like gerard gerdeou vs teila tuli, and emmanual yarborogh vs keith hackney. i also enjoyed watching Gary Goodridge vs. Paul Herrera because i like watching a guy throw multiple elbows to the head of an unconscious fighter. those guys were true champions and the guys fighting today are boring chumps.

(i hope the sarcasm in my posts shows)

I've taken Tae Kwon Doe, aikido, and shotokan karate but none of them have even compared to how much I learn at my BJJ classes. I got into MMA and that's why I got into BJJ. It is the ultimate fighting style when combined with a form of striking such as (Muay Thai) in my case Boxing, that can not be defeated by any one style fighter on a regular basis. As far as a fight goes BJJ and Boxing or Thai will always over power a Kung Fu, Katate, Tae Kwon Doe, Shotokan, aikido, ect. practitioner. How many cases will have to go down in history before people realize this. I have accepted that I have wasted 10 years of my life on a few unpractical arts so why can't you. I turned the last of 4 years on Fighting techniques that actualy work in a real life situation.

You're right. Liddell vs. Jardine was exactly the same as Griffin vs. Tavares. Plus Georges St. Pierre and Matt Hughes have identical styles.

It won't ever go back to the boring 30 minute matches of the early days. Why? Because no intelligent fighter will only train one style.

A BIG AMEN TO THAT!!!

I despise that crap.

UFC 1 & 2 were great, but after that, it got tiring.

Keith Hackney fighting that BIG Brotha, was probably one of the best fights I ever seen... and early Marco Ruas. That's it as far as I see.
