They are overpriced mutts. If you want one, adopt from an animal shelter, don't pay a puppymill or backyard breeder and encourage purposely breeding mutts.

For the price you would pay for a Puggle, which is nothing more than the offspring of a low quality Beagle bred to a low quality Pug, you could rescue 2 or 3 mutts in a shelter and still have money left over for their first year of vet care.

If you are looking for a mid size dog and don't care about lineage, look at your local shelter. You will find what you are looking for.

Puggles are mutts with a fancy name. If you are going to spend big bucks on a mutt you may as well get a purebred dog. I have dachshunds and they are a great little dog.
Find a good breeder please don't buy from a petstore. These are puppy mill puppys that will end up with lots of health problems.

Puggles may be cute but they can have health problems too. Pugs as a breed have respitory problems and beagels can be high strung. Put the 2 together you will get a dog that may end up having trouble breathing when it gets too excited.

If you want a small dog try a dachshund or go to a shelter and adopt. Great dogs that need homes!!

There is no such thing as a "puggle". However, there is a new trend of mixing Pugs to Beagles and calling them a new breed. Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
If you want a mid-size dog, why not go visit your local shelter and save a life?
A great mid-size companion dog is a Cocker Spaniel!
I think Pugs are Ugly, sorry, I do, and Beagles are so terribly overbred that there are only a few nice ones left.

they are cute, and Im sure are good pets. Please do not buy one from a "breeder" tho. They are cute, but they are still mutts. There are plenty of cute mutts in rescues/shelters that will be put to sleep because of lack of homes. Yes, there are even puggles needing homes!

try www.petfinder.com to find a nice little dog.. if you are looking for something in that size, there are lots of dogs in that size.. check out pugs, beagles, cocker spaniels, terriers.. there are lots of purebreds and mixes that would love to be in a wonderful home!

Puggles are adorable, but I think it's crazy that they charge an arm & a leg for a mixed breed. I'd rather find a mixed breed at the local shelter, and provide a home for them...whether or not they have a ''designer'' name for the mix.

I have 2 wonderful pug/beagle mixes. If you do choose to get one, please get one from a shelter. The amount of money you would have to spend on one from a pet store or "breeder" is ridiculous.

Mine are both very smart, and very quick learners. They are HYPER though... thus the reason I have 2 (they tire each other out!). One is a shedder, the other not so much, so it really depends. No way to tell with a mixed breed.

Good Luck!

"Puggles" are mutts. There are lots of equally good mutts in the shelters needing homes.

I don't even think they're cute, I think Beagles and Pugs are much cuter. Puggles are funny-looking.

It's fine if you want a mixed breed dog, but try adopting. Don't let someone sell you a mutt at a purebred price, no matter what designer name the mutt has.

If you want a mix (and I am a big fan of mixes myself) adopt from the pound. I bet you will find puggles there!
