See, this is exactly what happens when people don't read the instructions.
For every test, the instructions include a time limit to read the results by. It's going to be something like 30 minutes or so. With some tests, the original results will stay looking the same for ever, and with others, it will change.
In your case, your positive test turned negative when the urine evaporated, but that doesn't mean that your baby evaporated, too. Throw the test away and announce your pregnancy.
In other cases, something called an 'evaporation line' appears. That evaporation line makes a true negative test look like a positive.
I'm guessing you're one of those people who keep the test as a keepsake for your baby book or something. My sister-in-law did that, too, but personally, I think it's gross. Why do you want to hang on to something that you peed on?

try reading the box. its says the test is only vailid for a certain period of time after you took it. then the results are void.
i got this off of first response's web site
Q: Will the result change if left standing for a certain period of time?
A: The test result should be read as soon as possible after waiting the 3 minutes. A positive result will last for at least 48 hours. A negative result should not be read after 10 minutes.

Why are you reading the test 4 days later? If you got a positive result your pregnant. Throw your tests away and stop looking at them. You are making yourself worry for no reason!

you're not supposed to read test after 10 mins. If it said that you were pregnant was when you first took the test then you're pregnant.

It means nothing. If a line was there, you're pregnant.
