Do you believe that one of your parents doesn't love you because:
I didn't get the stuff I wanted?
They don't see me so they don't care?
It's their fault for a divorce?
What would be most of the problem if a parent still loved you but still stayed away. Are you impartial?

I was the absent Dad. There hasn't been a day go by that I haven't thought of my girls.
Do I love them? Yes
Do I miss them ? Always.
I'm doing all I can, but sometimes it's just not enough to help their hurt go away.
Only time and patience can work.

I think that it is the parents' responsibillities to let the child know they are still loved.

One parent has to be absent, because of the divorce. People don't normally continue to live together after a divorce, hon.

Children do suffer emotionally when their parents are divorced. GOOD parents do everything they can to help their children understand, give them love, support and comfort.

take care.

I believed my Dad didn't love me after my parent's divorce because he never came to see us or visit us. It has been 15 years and he wouldn't care if my brother or I lived or died. He is now remarried with new kids.

I've never thought that. I only see my dad once or twice a year and he doesn't get me presents ever, but I still don't think that.
