Son of God. Christianity is based on the Trinity: Father (God), Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.

In the time of Jesus(Isa). People used term Son as a phrase. not meant literately. Son of God is a phrase found in the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible), various other Jewish texts and the New Testament. In the holy Hebrew scriptures, according to Jewish religious tradition, it is related to many diverse subjects, as to angels, humans and even all mankind. Can God have a son? So are we say the he preformed and imamate act with someone cuz a son is an offspring of a man. And God is not a man. God is greater than that

Just to add to the excellent scripture list of k r it is also interesting to note that the trinity doctrine was not adopted by the church until about 400 years after Jesus Christ. If you look into the old pagan religions of that time you will note that it was common for them to worship triads of Gods. This false teaching obviously crept in along with the idea that December 25th was Jesus' birthday but the original festival celebrated on this day was Saturnalia a pagan festival a fact that most clergyman will agree with. Another point to note was that Psalm 36:9 states that with God is the source of life and yet the bible tells us that Jesus died and went to the grave, surely God cannot do that.

Jesus is the Son of God, and He is not God.

Lola i feel for you - you have so many different opinions - so here goes this is what i believe...

Jesus is God and son of God and Spirit of God - 3 persons in one..
God came to earth in His fleshly body which was Jesus - after Jesus resurrection He appeared to His followers and promised them the Holy Spirit which is the power of God coming to live in them.

So the answer to you're question is Jesus is both God and son of God - but only comes by revelation from God Himself...

They are all 1(the Trinity) but all different forms of the same God Jesus took the human form of God. So yes He is God's Son but He is also part of God.

Keebo: Jesus is part of God Jesus died but rose again how many humans do you know that their actual body rose again after death?

Lola, he is alive, so I suggest you ask him.
I think that Jesus is all of God and that he can reveal himself exactly as he pleases.
I don't buy the trinity teaching because it teaches that Jesus is part of God, not all of God. Since trinity teaching devalues Jesus, I will not support it. Next..

God made Himself man (Jesus, God incarnate). In that respect He was the Son of God, but fully man and fully God.
Jesus is both.
