So a great man comes to a small town and the people there admire him and want to show him respect by displaying some of his cultural artifacts. So what? Why do Christians get so uptight about everyting? And you got this from a website that wah wah wahs about how Christians are suffering! and being persecuted! by everyone and everything. What I saw on that website looked a lot like paranoia.

Any mixture of religion and politics or municipal representation (i.e. that City Hall you're talking about) is a bad idea and is very very wrong. One of the things that makes the USA such a great place is that all should be allowed to practice their religion without prosecution...that does not mean "express" their religion. Politics and gov't should not pander to any religion. THat is why I am so infuriated when I see political figures in ad's holding bibles in their hands trying deperately to reach out to the masses (you only see this in southern states). How offensive that would be to see if I were Muslim or Jewish...focus your energy on other more immediate and pressing issues like justice and peace rather than the ongoing tension caused by religion <-- a man-made curse.

Every false Eastern religion possible has come to America and we are swimming in the evil of them and there are thousands of them. When you have that many religions, you don't have a religion.

No wonder God knew to send His Son Jesus Christ and to state there is only one way to God. God knew these thousands of false religions and false prophets like the Dalai Lama would be in this world. May the Lord forgive us for this heathenism.

Crimson,

Stay strong in your faith. You're spot on.

Christianity will be banned soon enough, by our "so called" leaders, all in the name of TOLERANCE.

Funny how hypocritical the left is...they preach tolerance, but they tolerate nothing other than their corrupted ideas.

Don't be surprised to see sometime in the next 10 to 15 years, an attack on this country through the legal system (which is often the case today to rid society of God & Jesus) that will try to break up this country, usuing the argument: The Decleration of Independence is unconstitutional due to the fact it makes multiple references to/of/by God.

Yeah, I know...don't laugh to hard, but it really is what I expect in the near future...then they'll scream for the original colonies to go back to British rule, the southwest & west coast to go back to Mexico, etc, etc...waiting for the World Court to decide our future, now that Bushie signed on to allow our courts to follow under their rullings.

If Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the flesh, and also part of the Trinity that, supposedly composes God in His oneness, and therefor Christ is also God who is he trying to fool with all this peace stuff? Is the New Testament telling us that the Old Testament is full of lies and that God, in His perfection, isn't really quite nasty?

The world will forever persecute and oppose His name!! Why don't people take Buddha's name in vain? Or Mohhammed? Or Allah's? Because they are false gods!
But even here in America, people and political parties are actively and sometimes quietly trying to silence the name of Christ and those who proclaim His kingship! We may be the home of the brave, but we are not the land of the free!

Yes it seems to be that prophecies are being fulfilled. He said :

The whole teaching is-to love one another.

If the world hates you, do not be surprised: it hates my teaching. If you were at one with the world it would love you. But I have taken you out of the world, and for that it will hate you.

If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also, and they will do all this because they do not know the true God. I explained to them, but they did not wish to hear me. They did not understand my teaching because they did not understand the Father. They saw my life and my life showed them their error, and they hated me yet more on that account.

The spirit of truth which will come to you will confirm this to you. But confirm it yourselves. I tell you this beforehand, that you may not be deceived when they persecute you. They will cast you out; they will think that by killing you they are doing what pleases God. And they will do all this because they do not understand either my teaching or the true God. I tell you this beforehand that you may not be surprised when it comes about."

Persecutions, trials and deprivations are things that God allows so as to test the believers' faith. In societies that accept freedom of speech, it is inconceivable that christian speeches should be expunged from public places. The other beliefs [or religions] do not have something worthwhile to say to the public, that's why they are jealous.

It's sad to me that people are trying to push out God. He is the reason we are all here. Read this.... Deuteronomy 28:15-50. THis is what happens when we take God out of our live's. It's already starting to happen too.
