Interesting question. But I'm not sure what you want to hear. I personally go hot and cold with religion, but material things for the most part really don't matter to me. Someone could take everything I own, and it really wouldn't matter to me.

Failure to perceive something does not make it unreal. Faith is when You believe it anyway and struggle on. The material world is subjective, dependent (at least in part) on spiritual orientation. Reality can be changed with the blink of an eye.

That preached, is it possible You have a bit of clinical depression? There's help for that.

The material world and/or "spiritual" both exist conventionally... as in you need certain labels, etc. to navigate this life as is, however it's empty of inherent existence just like everything else is... arising due to causes and conditions, changing and impermanent, so therefore one should meet them with equanimity, not clinging nor aversions. That's how you "go on in life" in my opinion.

Go to a Holy Ghost filled revival. Its worth the drive and the effort. When you sense the presence of the Lord in the room, it will be awesome.

stay with it, things will look different in the future. when I was in high school i read ecclesiastes and a lot of existential philosophy and i thought, why bother. it was quite depressing. life hasn't turned out as i'd imagined but it doesn't look so empty now. keep turning over rocks.
