The two languages I am fluent in, I think in when I speak them. I think in the language I am surrounded by or dealing with. I have often responded. In the wrong language when in a multilingual conversation, because I am thinking in the language I hear and respond in. I sometimes forget to switch languages to address someone in the other language.
If I have been immersed in one exclusively for a long period of time it takes some time to open the other language file to start to think in it. I have experienced this both ways going from my native language to my second language and going from my second language to my native language.
If you still have to go through one language to another you are not yet really proficient. When you start thinking in French your fluency will increase. When I learn languages I try use translation as means to learn as little as possible. Try to find those means that allow you to learn the language directly without going through means of another language.

I believe it is whilst you'll believe within the language. Other individuals will let you know you're fluent. It's no longer an outlined stage you will say I'm now fluent, but if individuals believe you're from the nation of the language you talk, adding the ones from that nation, then you'll be definite. When Mexican began asking me what side of Jalisco I used to be from that is whilst I used to be definite, however I preserve telling individuals I'm California. Keep going with the Spanish. The extra languages you realize the extra individuals you'll speak to.

I am fluent in 4 languages.
I am usually thinking in the language I speak, so if I speak in English I think in English and so on.
However, if you meant what language I think with during the day I'd say it's just a combination of all of them, I would think with whatever words come to my mind faster.

i speak 4 languages very good, among them arabic which is not my native language, i also speak the egyptian dialect pretty well. when i speak in the egyptan dialect i think in modern standard arabic and i think abt the differences between the two languages. for any other language i think in the language i speak in.
so based on my expecience i guess if u speak a language very good u think in it, if u don't know it well then u try to translate in your head the sentences before speaking.

As a bilingual individual I feel that language is the expression of your soul, your culture, your innermost feelings, therefore even if you can master several languages, there will be only one language in which your soul can express itself, the language that first comes to your head when you are angry, when you feel awe, when you need to express love or grief, the language you use to describe how proud you are of the unique beauty of your country and its people, that is your main language and the expression of your soul.
