I'm not involved with any groups I just donate, But our area is very active in the fight of cancer as a total, There are special days for breast cancer, they have walks and gatherings, all the busness's get involved, the schools etc. Do as well for Hospice, any thing connected with cancer. At the gatherings they sell paper bags with sand and a candle to light, you can put names of your loved ones on the bags.

Im surprised my boss mentioned it to me since I'm the only female in the company but truthfully the only way I see it announced is through all those stupid pink ribbon items sold at the stores and commercials and penny jars at grocery stores. It gets on my nerves more than anything. True, I COULD get breast cancer one day, but I also COULD get ran over by a bus as soon as I'm done typing this answer.
