Nope. We have a compound problem that takes more than just walking to solve.

- Yes we all need to exercise more

- There are too many people on the planet and not enough natural resources. This is why too many foods are high in fat/sugar/carbs because there is not enough real food to feed everyone

- North American culture is too addicted to sweets/carbs/salts. Get back to plain foods with minimal additives

- You will also have to de-industrialize the modern world. There are too many pollutants that get into human bodies (which the body uses salt to purify, mostly) so we need more salt to purify, more energy to keep up production and more taste to keep people eating... Clean up the air, water & ground then maybe people might be able to get closer to the normal way they should live...

Not necessarily. We would also have to take a general look at our food service industry to examine the practices of how they provide food for us. A good first step would be getting rid of buffets as well as Super Size at fast food chains. This in itself would probably be a good start and get a lot of people to lose some weight. After the first few steps, people would have to take it up on themselves to loose weight and be healthy.

Walking would help. Fast food chains would be a no-no too! get rid of X-box, play stations, and Nintendo also. The younger generation only exercise their fingers and thumbs!
