You have the wrong idea about law enforement, If you think for a minute that its just like the popular tv shows csi, law & order ect. There are laws and restrictions about evidence and obtaining evidence + arrests. If you were burglarized then what do you want from the police? Do you know exactley who did it? if not then how are the police going to know. Do you have pictures/video? if you do then its a starting point but its not going to hold up in court. The police will not dust and finger print your house and look for blood and hair in these cases because its a waste of their time and money. If they did then you would be on here complaining about the tax increases in order to pay for all of that.

My truck was stolen and recovered. I had to pay 4 days of storage and towing before I got it back. Yes, it was wrecked. The thief's were caught on video. I asked if prints were taken, the investigator said no prints were recovered. I asked, not even my own? No response was given. There was hair in the roof counsel, because my truck was taken "air born", and the thief hit his head on the roof. The police were not interested in the hair. In my opinion, in my case there was no investigation.

I don't really think that is true. I had a car that was stolen and the officer said that they don't usually find them...which probably makes people assume that they don't even try. Well, they found mine...so they obviously do something, even for the not so serious cases!
