Well, every denomination and belief system promotes itself in a way which says all other religions and beliefs are wrong.
But in the case of "love and stuff," how can such a belief be wrong when Christ tells us to love others as we love ourself?
If any group becomes angry due to the fact that another Christian group is promoting love, then their anger is misplaced and clearly shows that the Holy Spirit is trying to convict their hearts of something.

In my opinion, you can measure the value of any religion, by the extent to which it teaches *correct principles.*
Correct principles, such as humility, moral ethical living, altruism, honesty and integrity, respect for all life, rendering service to the needy, treating others with respect and compassion, skeptical inquiry, etc.
We should be involved in religion, to learn, to think, to improve ourselves, expand our understanding, and fellowship with others. We should never be involved out of fear, sentimentality, or just to gratify our own egos.
Obviously, a religion whose core doctrine is the wearing of blue shirts, is pretty much worthless....
That's the thing about religion, it tends to bring out the very best and worst in people.
Also, *any* religion is bound to contain it's superstitions, false doctrines, irrational and illogical concepts, and evil or unproductive traditions. We should not look to religion as the ultimate source of meaning and truth in our lives. We do so at our own peril.
Furthermore, there are always people, in every city or town, who want to use religion or psuedo-religon in order to make money, become popular, or get power over others. (e.g. Sylvester McMonkey McBean, Osama bin Laden, George W. Bush, Pope Alexander VI, etc. ad infinintum.......)
OK, I'm done ranting for now...

Does "blue" feel compelled to point out what "blue " percieves as perversion and nonsense. To quote a proverb "Let a sleeping dog lie."

Maybe so.
But what if the splintered group continued to follow the same FALSE DOCTRINES that came out of the first group to begin with?
Wouldn't that be speaking the "real truth" then??
Peace be with you.

I would wear whichever color strikes my fancy at any given time and make fun of both Orthodox Blues and Redamentalists, though not necessarily in front of them because as far as I'm concerned, they can restrict themselves to the color they want as long as they don't push it on me.

you are right, but the redamentalists are only trying to find their way. the blue church lost it's authority along the way when the founders were killed and the authority to act in the name of the color blue was lost. because the real color is all colors. white.
