Alright guys the wedding is just three weeks away so it's going to be a question an hour from me! I really need to get my ringbearer a gift but I'm totally clueless on an idea. He's eight so the teddy bear type items don't work. I don't want to spend more than $15-20. Any ideas on a cute gift that he'll actually like but is still appropriate as a ring bearer gift?

At David's bridal thay have a "ring security" t-shirt for the ring bear, its really cute. If I remember correctly, it was only like $15 or so.

Forget the "cute" gifts for a boy - go straight to the source and ask him what he likes to do for fun and go from there. As another poster put it - it's not sentimental but he'll appreciate it more.

BTW - you can get a rocket kit from the toy dept. at Walmart for about $20 - and extra "engines" for a few bucks more - my son loved them when he was 8. Takes adult supervision tho - but great fun toy.

Ask his parents what he's into. When my brother was that age, he was really into these toys called Bionicles (basically advanced legos for building these machine-like monster things; they're kind of hard to explain on here but you can get them at Wal-Mart and Toys-R-Us).
You could get him a new movie, a video game, if he's into sports you could get him something for that (for example, if he's into baseball you could get him a new glove). Just ask his folks what he likes and go from there.

Good luck!

I went through the same thing. I actually found out what kind of toy he wanted and got that. I know it wasnt to sentamental but it was at least something he wanted. And he was very happy to get it.
