I don't get why people advertise on a mobile car where their kids are located. Its just like a noen flashing sign that says, my kid is at this school. Doesn't it help kidnappers? I just hate those signs so much and think parents should be more responsible on whom they are telling to the location of there kids. Because if your at lets say walmart during the day and your car tells kidnappers where your kids are, surely they know you are not with your kids and have a greater opportunity to snatch your kid. What are is your opinion?

People keep saying kidnappers don't find their kids by bumper stickers.. really...so if a nasty guy see's a pretty girl at the mall he wants to take but can't find her..you are telling that the name of the school bumper sticker wouldn't tell him how to find her...I disagree!

I hate those... It's like "look how wonderful my kid is...sorry yours isn't. "
There is a difference in being proud of your kid and bragging. Those cross the line.I love how your getting slammed by some about you being jelous. It's not that, it's just sickining.

Unless the kidnapper knew you personally, how would they know which kid to kidnap? All it tells anyone is that YOUR kid is on that school's honor roll. Doesn't have YOUR kid's name on the sticker too. Personally, I like bumper stickers, but hate it when there's not an inch of space left on the back side of a vehicle because of all the stickers. I'd enjoy it more if I were stuck in traffic and could actually read all of them! I have one on my car that reads "I pray...get used to it". As for the honor roll stickers...while I wouldn't put one on my car (and I had a kid on the honor roll), I can understand a parent being so proud that they want the whole world to know it. Kidnappers snatch kids that are unattended, vulnerable and naive. I'd like to think that if the kid is on the honor roll, they wouldn't be lacking in the smarts department and get kidnapped! Of course, that's just MY opinion. <*)))><

How would it help kidnappers? It doesn't state the name of the child on the bumper sticker. Besides that depending where you live will determine what school your child goes to. It is all part of zoning. Unless you take your child to a private school. Besides that schools have better security nowadays and won't just let anyone come take your child out of class.
I think you have some issues.

Well if there child is on the honor roll then I'm sure the parents have done and outstanding job warning there child of predators and perverts. Even for those who do not have the sticker in this day and age the majority of parents have informed there kids to be on the look out. Your whole question is still not making sense. School=kids everyone knows that.

I think the kids whose parents have the sticker on their car are safe from kidnappers -- after all, kidnappers don't want to kidnap the SMART kids, they are too much trouble! *jk!*

Actually, I hate those stickers, because it's just low-class bragging. My child knows I'm proud of them -- but they also know that modesty is a virtue.

Ok, I agree with you. Yes, advertising what school your kid goes to is stupid.
I like the bumper stickers that say my kid beat up your honor roll kid.

I see your point... But it isnt logical... If someone wants to kidnap a kid from a school, they can go to any school and find any child...
I find it highly unlikely they would see your bumper sticker in your driveway and then go to find your child at school unless they are a stalker and a pedofile...

First of all, those stickers do not have the child's name on it , so how would a kidnapper know who to nab? Why are you so against parents showing pride in the accomplishments of their children?

God no. That attitude is exactly what is holding America back from being on of the leading countries in intelligence. Kids need to be on the honor roll. Damn, is it not advised that school and education is the most important thing in life? Why would you look down on something so important? I want my kids to be on the honor roll and I want them to know that I am so proud of them, that I will put it on my car. It also gives them a standard to live up to. If they made the honor roll once, and mom got the sticker, they are therefore obligated to live up to that standard. No, I don't get annoyed. I'm giddy every time I see one. We need more kids dedicated to school rather than activities that will be self destructive.

That's like saying a driver with a 'I brake for (whatever)" bumper sticker is just begging to be rear-ended by one of those 'bump into' insurance fraud scammers.

I find them annoying too, however if you have kids I'm sure you'll do anything to motivate your kids to succeed in life. When you were a kid, wouldn't you have been proud to have your parents driving around with a bumper sticker signifying how smart their child is? I know I'd be happy, which would motivate me to keep doing well. Of course I never got one of those stickers...
