can any one temme areas in which AI can be applied to BI

Here are 3 that I can think of:
- Facial pattern recognition algorithms.
- Iris (eye) pattern recognition algorithms.
- Fingerprint pattern recognition algorithms.

None of these algorithms is really AI, but if they use neural network technology, fuzzy logic, or heuristics to aid in the computation of a solultion, then they could be labeled as AI.

I don't think a non-existing solution (AI) can be successfully applied to a mostly solved problem (stochastic methods in BI).

But if you are trying to get another grant for yet another useless CS thesis, go for it. The department of defense is known to fund any type of nonsense as long as the applications have words in them they don't understand.
