my friend?She is one of the most down to earth ppI i know. She will make you laugh and cry well mostly laugh. She is Italian, Irish, El Salvodorain. She looks more Hispanic than any thing. Loooong brown curly hair w/ tint red in it. She has hazel brown eyes,olive skin, beauty mark under her right eye, her eyes are so amazing. I mean her personality is like wow. She is the type of person u want to make ur best friend. Caring,2caring,she is all about old skool. listens to doo wop all the way to the 2000's. She loves musicals(phantom of the opera.)She loves old movies that are& arent classic and walt disney movies.fav drink cranberry w/ rum. loves 2 party. Out going always wants 2 do something big. She belives that there is this type of love u only get once in a life time; were u cant breathe when ur not around them, &u want 2cry when they let go of u, lookin in2 thier eyes they take away pain, rain or shine they put a smile on ur face, dont judge u, imporatntly they fell the same way...

A persons personality is the most important thing. There has to be something there to attract you to that person, however, when the looks fade later in life it is the personality that will keep you happy. I don't think that a persons weight should have anything to do with finding the person attractive. You sound as though you are already finding your best friend attractive and why run or hide from that... Sometime your best friend is the best person to be with.. You know that you can share everything!!!

The reason most people don't go for overweight people is natural instinct to go for the healthiest specimin. Healthy is attractive. Not to say your friend's other traits are not attractive, but it's probably in her best interest to take care of her body so that she is not overweight (she will live longer too). Before someone can truly love another they must be able to love the self first.

Someone can be overweight, and still attractive. I could lose 5-10 pounds myself, but I certainly look good, and I work at it. But, I know I've seen many women who have a few extra pounds that still, look beautiful. There are people that still take care of themselves even if they enjoy a milkshake now and then.
You just need to ask yourself, are YOU attracted to the person? That's all that matters.

Yup, it just depends if shes "fat" or just "big". I'm not going to date someone whos a blob and cant even walk a mile cause shes so lazy. But a few pounds on top of enough muscles to crack some homers at your neighborhood softball game aint going to hurt you.

I've been big all of my life. I've had women that have told me they could go for me if I wasn't as overweight as I am. You know what? Their loss. I'm not morbidly obese, and if they can't see past a few extra pounds, I don't want to date anyone that shallow anyway.
Now I have a beautiful wife and couldn't be happier.

When I was younger, no, but as I got older I realized that there was more to a person than body size. So I'd just cheat on her with a skinny girl.
Just kidding. Seriously, I believe it all has to do with age, and as youngsters we all start out a little shallow, but as we mature, most of us grow out of it.

My BF is overweight, and has CP so he walks with crutches.
But he is also witty and charming and intelligent and well read and open-minded. He has incredibly strong arms and broad shoulders. He treats me like a queen and is kind and gentle and has the cutest little butt and is a tremendous kisser and has dancing blue eyes. He's a man of strong faith, honor and compassion. He has a close but mature relationship with his elderly parents - who live next door.
Oh, and yes, he can do the "horizontal dance" really, really well.
Am I proud to stand next to him? You betcha

To be honest with you I would. Who is gonna care about the looks, what is more important are the feelings that you have for that person not the looks.

Dude... if you're not attracted to her, there's nothing you can do. I had a similar situation (best personality in this girl, but sub-par looks for me) and I really considered trying it, but I just couldn't imagine feeling excited about the phsyical side of the relationship with her.
Fortunately, she started dating one of my best friends and I couldn't be happier for either of them!
