Yes, as long as they were cleared by the board of health, which I believe you would need to do before the business license would be issued.

What you are talking about is becoming a caterer. It's not up to the potential clients, but to the authorities in the area where you live. Your kitchen will be 'inspected' and will probably need to be 'fixed' so that it will be SAFE and CLEAN. Call your city or county licensing bureau and ask them what you need to do, THEN find out how much it will cost for the 'fixes' and the licenses. Check out things like the cost and manner of advertising, transport, and even getting pans and serving ware that will be able to 'serve' the food at the other end ... you CAN NOT 'sell food out your back door' and have people come by and 'pick it up' ... so do your RESEARCH before you decide this is how you will 'make your money.'

If I knew you and trusted you then yes. Or if I got a good referral from one of your friends who had eaten your food, then yes. Like word of mouth. But probably not if you're advertising, plus then you will need a health license and inspections.
I'm not saying it can't happen though. My aunt started baking years ago out of her basement and was very successful until retiring. All by word of mouth. My cousin started by cooking for people she cleaned house for. She'd bring the food for their dinner parties from her home kitchen. Word spread and she's now a very successful professional caterer with her own restaurant.
I guess if you start small, word of mouth, no advertising, keep everything clean and the right temps and such, you could really build a real business.

I would if it was not seafood, I don't like seafood very much. Selling from home is against the law unless you have a health inspector come out and grade you and you get a business license. You have to have a certain kind of kitchen to cook food legally from your home. I know alot of people who do it anyway . Alot of immigrants do this because they can't get a job easily and they have recipes that are from their country and their friends like it because it is homey to them.

You'd would have to get a business license as already stated. But apart from that i don't see why not! As long as you make nice food which I'm sure you do! I don't think it's weird buying food from someones house as long as it was well displayed! You might have to advertise a lot to get people to buy it though. Good Luck!

Food coked in some ones house will certainly be more hygienic, tasty, fresh and whole sum than what is available in restaurant. I will have absolutely no hesitation. Go ahead. Many others may think on my line.

Nope. I don't know that your house is clean to my standards. And if you have a dog or a cat or a hamster or a rat or a mouse or any other pet that might be running or slithering around, I would never eat something from your house.

Yes. Lots of catering businesses are out of homes. My grandma was an excellent baker being from Greece. She use to sell her baked goodies all the time. Home cooking is always better!

I would buy baked goods and candy - things of that nature - but not seafood because seafood is so touchy to work with/store and keep fresh - it spoils so easily.
