You said it yourself that your man doesn't earn much & you don't mind whether you can get back the cash that you loan him. There's a trace of mistrust in your tone on how he helps himself to some of your supplies. Why don't you set things straight with him if free-loading bothers you? You'll know it first hand, (straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak), whether or not he's taking advantage of your generosity . You have every right to know what lies beneath his being comfortable. As for me, I would lend him if I know he loves me & is just really short on dough. Good luck!

No you're not being selfish because you do have a child. It would be different if you didn't have a kids. When he ask for money tell him you ain't got it. When he comes over don't answer the door or if he calls just don't answer th phone. Make him think you're not home.

I think it's time for you to let him go and move on. It's not about how much you make but what you do with it. Sounds like his priorities aren't together, and that he knows he can get money from you whenever he likes. He is using you. You have a child, that's your responsibility, not taking care of a grown man.

Not selfish at all, you should always take care of your household first...

You need to lay down some ground rules, so everyone knows where they stand....
