MG is right.
Good whiskey with a splash of water if you want. Why in God's name would anyone mix Jack Daniels with coke?
Do you realize how long they worked to get it to taste like that???!!!
Sorry, I guess I'm a purist. If you are going to mix something with coke, tomato juice, etc. you might as well save your money and put something cheap in there. I doubt most palates are sophisticated enough to tell the difference.
Find a good whiskey pour it in a glass and sip it.
Single Malt Scotch
Good Bourbon
Cognac

Whiskey sours are nice. Get some sours mix at your grocery store or liquor store.

Here's a nice recipe for Lynchburg Lemonade

1 part Jack Daniel's
1 part sweet and sour mix
1 part triple sec
4 parts Sprite/7-Up

What ever you like. Most mix with 7up or coke. 2 oz whiskey to 4oz mix. Or better get some good Bourbon like Basil Hayden or Knob Creek and mix it with just a little water.

i really love whiskey mixed with infused vermouth (which, while alcoholic, is only minimally so). try infusing black tea or blackberries with the vermouth.

most whiskeys don't really need too much doctoring, though. if you can't drink it straight, maybe you're buying the wrong brand. try putting the whiskey over some rocks and sip. you might like it more than expected.
