All Christians are not all uptight and weird. I am a Christian and a Chatholic(yes I know some people will think that is horrible and I probably am stuck-up). I am a simple person that goes to work part time, goes to college, and goes to church on sundays and prays. I know many people like me and I am from North Dakota. There is many from small towns that are the same as me that do every day stuff and love God and America! We are not the enemy, so don't make us that!!! Please respect the people that love God and just want to live their lives in peace. We let you do the same.

I'm pretty much like you. I'm a Christian, I don't go to church that often. I pray, love God, teach moral values and ethics to my children, work every day, play music weekly in a bar, etc. And get this, I don't try to convert people to my way of thinking, I'm friends with gays, Wiccans, athiest, Muslims, Jews, Catholic, etcs. I love and respect them all. We're all Americans and we all want to live in peace. Good luck. 2D

You might notice that the insults here mostly are between the Fundamentalists and the atheists.
Most of the atheists do not regard most Christians as weird (well, not as real weird) or uptight.
They do regard the Baptists and Pentacostals as pretty bizarre and as dangerous too.

second no they don't let us do the same. they say that they wage war against evil and guess who the evil is......yep pagans, wiccans, witches, atheist,satanist and just about anything they don't understand. so until the rest of the Christan's open there hearts and there minds then they are s.o.l.

good for you im an atheist but respect your right to worship or not worship how you choose. not all atheists (in fact very few) have a problem with people like you who do not automatically think we are mad criminals. personally i like catholics because they are mainstream believers happy in their own beliefs with no desperate desire to lead the rest of us into salvation and also you respect other christians whatever their denomination- you do not say to non catholic christians that unless they are catholic that they will go to hell

I wouldnt worry about atheists and their christian bashing on this site. i recommend avoiding the spirituality section as it's usually full of anger and hate filled people! many christians are living side by side with atheists, living good lives, living ordinary lives and not being hypocrites, but sadly it's only the over-the-top and the ridiculous christians who seem to be upheld as models of all christianity.
just carry on living your own life. I am a christian too, who used to be a mocking atheist so i understand both sides . you're right, we are often made to be the enemy, but it's just ignoranc.e
