Your question is unclear. Are you 28 and your mother is 48? Or, are you 48 and your mother is 68?
Either way, I don't think you should have a problem keeping up with your mother.
Enjoy your holiday and the precious time with your mother.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding the question or not. But I'll take a shot at it anyway. No, I don't think 48 is too old to still be living with your mother if you're her caretaker and she can't do everything for herself. I think that would be better vs. putting her in a nursing home. And I didn't understand the part about the holidays. I'm not sure if you were asking are u told old to go on holiday trips with her or what. But no, it's ok to spend time with your mother.

I went on vacation with my daughter when she was 20 and I was 50 to Mexico. It was one of the best times we had together.
I am not sure if you are 48 or if your mother is 48, but as long as you both have a good time together then it is fine.

As long as you have a life outside the one you share with her. If your entire life revolves around her then you have a serious problem. Three questions will help you determine the right answer all by yourself:
(1) What had your mother achieved when she was your age and have you attained as much and more?
(2) When she is gone, who will you have left?
(3) Do you want to be like her when you're at her age or not; will you have a better life or not?
I guess you catch my drift... Make adjustments where neccessary, even if they're painful. Good luck.

Well, I have several friends in their 50s and 60s who not only live with their moms, but go on trips with them as well. It's never too old if you enjoy each other's company (but might be nicer if you & mum also took along your own dates)!

No way is it to old - what does age have to do with it?! Hang with who you will. If you have a positive, mutually beneficial relationship, why wouldn't you? Ideally our family members would be some of our best friends, no?

My Mother passed away a few years ago, I would suggest you spend time with your Mum as she wont be around forever.

Not if you two are happy together and you have a good time when you go out. However, if you are there because she can't be alone and needs someone all the time to be there, then you are codependent.
