Prince of Peace. Wonderful Counselor. Mighty. Son of Man. Jesus Christ or Christ Jesus. Emmanual.

Lots of names but the same nature. Not semantics, but semitics.

Emmanuel means God with us.

1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Jesus is the Christ.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Be very careful you are getting very close to saying Jesus is not the son of God.

1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:3
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 1:7
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

The word "Emmanuel" is a Hebrew word (tranliterated in the Greek New Testament and from there into English) which means "God with us". It is a reference to the fact that Jesus would be seen as God in human form. If you have studied any Christian theology, you will know that the Incarnation (God taking on human form) is the center of Christian beliefs.

So whenever anyone speaks of Jeus as being God, or divine, or the Son of God, they are speaking or calling him the "Emmanuel".

and He was the Messiah. His given name is not what is important, but what He was sent to do. why is that so hard to understand?
