.. i live in switzerland, and pass routinely through border patrols into france and germany.. the borders are patrolled and guarded by armed men.... it is normal... a border is there to protect the country. for you to put down a border, because you don't agree with it is not fair. do you want the united states and mexico and canada to open up the borders and just become one big country? i don't think canada would go for it.. nor mexico.. nor the united states. the borders are there for a reason, and people should respect them.
..i don't even understand all of that about how a person can enter a country illegally and just "become" an instant citizen and expect the other country to support them and provide insurance, education, medical expenses, etc..... it would never happen in switzerland... you have to jump through hoops, and it takes about 10 years and you have to have a perfect knowledge of the language...
also, if you have a baby in this country and you are not a swiss citizen, the baby is NOT automatically granted citizenship... it retains the citizenship of the parents...
... it is not a free ride .. you have to work and support yourself, if you don't have a job already to go to, you cannot get a visa to live here..... the longest you can stay without a visa is 90 days ... i think they would come after you and kick you out...
.. i would rather you ask your government to improve the living conditions in your own country, so people do not have to flee in vast numbers ... vote for people into your government who will clean up the country and make it a desirable place to live... who knows, maybe one day people would be trying to "sneak" into mexico if it had better living conditions... mexico has a lot to offer... i have several friends who live there and really don't want to leave.
americans who are fed up with these lax laws should petition their government for new laws... do not give illegals free aid and schooling, etc.. do not make newborn babies automatic citizens, etc... then perhaps they will not be "sneaking" in...
.. and also, mexico has a border with guatemala, does it not? where armed mexican border guards routinely shoot people who are trying to enter mexico illegally?..... so don't be hypocritical of another country wanting to patrol their border.....

The Wall of last Resort, we granted a one time amnesty in 1986 to insure our borders and 3.1 were granted amnesty, Of those 3.1 at least 1 million used forged documents to gain amnesty and were not even in the country during the time they were supposed to be here, and being they passed a law that the documents would not be versify or given to law enforcement to prove fraud, their were no price to be paid for the fraud. Now we have between 12-20 more illegals and 400,000 coming each year, what are we supposed to do,

How about the US Border! Have you forgot what happened on 9/11. It's fact that there are a lot more nationalities then Mexicans crossing the border, both there and in Canada. I guess we could call it "prevention wall". Oh when you get a chance check out some other countries borders lined with mine fields, armed guards, dogs then cry your song for us.

'Xenophobia' will not work because the United States is obviously not xenophobic. 'RADI' (racial discrimination) will not work because a wall does not discriminate by race and those being kept out of our country do not represent a race. Illegal alien is not a race. Mexican is not a race. Hispanic is not a race. Criminal is not a race.
'Third-first world limit' is OK but too long don't you think? 'Prehistoric Age' is just plain stupid. "Don't cross this border wall" might work, but I suggest adding "or you will be killed instantly".
Bye bye!

'The FREE ENTERPRISE wall". So long as there are lawbreakers who are US citizens looking to hire "cash" employees at half the minimum wage and overlooking the Green Card law, you'll get people crossng borders.
This 'problem' is caused by US citizens, not by Mexicans. It's as simple as enforcing your own laws as they pertain to your own citizens. Follow the money trail. If you choose to buy 50-cent lettuce picked by Mexicans with no green card, rather than 75-cent lettuce picked by US citizens, YOU are a cause of the "problem".
In theory I see no reason for stopping workers. If, under NAFTA. capital can move back and forth freely, should not labour have the same privilege? Capital alone never built one widget.....
