He seems to be a very humorless guy indeed, what with all the smiting and that.
Not too mention all the natural disasters he created, the diseases, the hatred, the pain, the suffering, deformed children, giving man free will and then punishing him for using it, his jealous rages. apparently he got so annoyed once he drowned the whole world.... not really a fun type is he?

I really don't think that is what you are hearing! No one Church has the right way - He is coming back for One Church and that will consist of the true believers (whatever denomination they are). Salvation is not to be found in the Churches. As for God's sense of humour - well once in a while things happen to me that I tell him He has a good sense of humour! but it is usually You expect me to do what!!!! There are probably some biblical jokes based on the bible but no - no comedians to be found in there.

I don't know about in the bible beacause I dont believe that bull but I can give you a good example.
I have a couple that I have been friends with since gradeschool. I am the one who got them two together in the first place. Well, they didn't think they were ever going to have kids. They tried for years and finally paid thousands of dollars and made a trip across the world to adopt a asian baby, then when it was getting close to time for there adopted baby to arrive she became pregnant.
When I found out about this I cracked up. That, above all the bull in this world, is proof that She does have a since of humor.

An example of God's humor is the instance in which the Israelites were using the Ark of the Covenant like a good-luck charm in taking it to battle, and the Philistines ended up capturing it and placing it in their temple before their idol of Dagon. They came into the temple the next day and found Dagon flat on his face before the ark. They set him back up. The next morning, there he was again, but this time he had his hands and head cut off as a symbol of his powerlessness before the God of the ark (1 Samuel 5:1-5). God’s putting Dagon in a position of submission to His ark is a comical picture.

The humor is 2000 years previous on the least, this is not any ask your self you do not are attentive to it. Shakespeare exchange into hilarious too, besides the shown fact that it is going over maximum folk's heads because of the fact of ways previously it exchange into written (and the antiquated language, same difficulty you may face interior the KJV). Yeah, there are some boring areas, rather particularly some (you may bear in mind it is likewise a historic checklist) yet there are some areas which will make you laugh in case you think of roughly them a splash. besides, in case you have faith the Bible, God invented humor. i'm quite useful He is conscious the thank you to apply it.

Now to the Real Nittly Grittly!!!
In the Old Testament, the Prophet made his Altar to The Creator (GOD).
The RELIGIOUS made their Altar to their false god.
The Prophet MADE FUN of the False guys when they tried to get Fire to come down from the Sky and consume their offerings.
THEN, the Real Man of GOD called down FIRE from HEAVEN---and IT CAME DOWN and consumed his Altar to GOD---and Then Some!!!!
See, RELIGIONS have NO POWER from an Almigty GOD.
Now, Christianity IS NOT A RELIGION it is REALITY!
REALITY is Walking With GOD (the Power will come too!)
My Foot and Ankle was Healed INSTANTLY at a Little Bible Study befor Work---only 4 people their.
Thanky Jesus!
Na Na---Nanana! You Can't Catch Me!!!

Don't you think the way we make babies is pretty funny? If God exists he probably meant it as a joke. It's only when he saw people taking it seriously that he turned it into a sin.

I thought it was pretty funny when God struck our enemies with emerods.
1Sa 5:6 But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.
emerods 2914 tchor tekh-ore'
from an unused root meaning to burn; a boil or ulcer (from the inflammation), especially a tumor in the anus or pudenda (the piles):--emerod.
A emerod is a hemroid!

Go watch nature. Mating dances. Ducks and geese landing on water and ice. Does and ponies bouncing around. Kittens and puppies playing, or any offspring for that matter. Animal sounds like "moo" and "meow" and bird songs. It's all rather comical and amusing.
