God by no means murdered more people than the devil, and in fact He murdered no one, as He never killed anyone unjustly. It is the devil who lusts to kill, while God clealry states "I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live" (Ezek. 33:11).

The devil however, "was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it" (Jn. 8:44).

And in fact when someone must be punished, all God has to do is take away His protection and the devil can attack him. If God did not restrain the devil as well as ourselves, this world would go downhill like a roller coaster, and it is predicted that in the latter days it will. When God does allow evil, it is just and for a purpose, and He will make it work out for good for those who love Him, and the good.

In short, is it God who is always giving, both good things which we abuse, and good laws which we break, while the devil does just the opposite in seeking our damnation. and so he will be punished in his time. And those who follow him will end up in th same place. "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Rev 20:10)

Jesus most clearly manifested the difference between good and evil and between God and the devil, and stated, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. {11} I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep" (John 10:10-11).

"To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins" (Acts 10:43).

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19).

I'm not so sure that works. God never declared that he himself has to follow his rules and teachings or the 10 commandments. If God were bound to his own 10 commandments, we'd have a paradox: he'd have to have no other Gods but himself. But since God is his God and he is God, he cannot worship himself. Supposedly it was by design that we die, God takes us so him 'murdering' someone, if you could call it that, would not be inherently evil.

I think God did not so much murder as prune his garden. Does a gardener kill his plant when he lops off a few of the unfruitful branches?

Christian God is Jesus. Jesus did not kill anyone.

It was the Old Testament God or the Jewish God.

Does that help?

Edit: I think I like the answer below mine. You can compare the killings by soldiers and those by terrorists.

The real issue you should be looking at is WHY God kills and WHY Satan kills. There's a HUGE difference.
