or even better, they find us, should we convert to their religion based mainly on the fact that they have superior technology, and the fact that they may actually have the technology to see their creator?
Would you convert?
Or would you try to convert them?
Or even better, would you just nuke them for not having your own beliefs?

Why do people think Christians are so against science and technology? I'm a Christian and I LOVE technology infact I still am working towards my childhood dream to be an astronaut. That said, as cool as science fiction and star trek/star wars etc is... I do not believe we will ever find anyone on other planets in distance galaxies because Scripture makes it pretty clear that this planet is indeed the only place in the universe that contains sentient life. Now that said... I *personally* believe that it's not impossible that there could be one or more celestial bodies in the universe that can possibly *support* life, that is certainly not an impossibility.

My motivations for wanting to advance technology is merely different than that of some other people. For me it is purely because I love the idea of space travel, exploration, and discovering more and more of God's universe.

Their nutballs and our nutballs would get together for a convention, they would both pick a champion, and then the two could do a professional wrestling contest or NASCAR race to see who is superior. At which point all the nutballs would drink poison kool-aid and to show their disgust for both societies indulgence in sin and everyone else would rejoice.
We can only pray this day comes soon.

Do you think space nutballs have NASCAR? I'm positive they would have professional wrestling.

Maybe they would be worshipped as Gods by some as in the days of old, check out the book called Fingerprints of the Gods, or maybe we are so backward that they may help to clarify a lot of misconceptions in religion.

There are several different scenarios for finding aliens, they may be more advanced but have had no desire to explore so we find them; they *could* have a similar belief system, they could have none at all; there list of possibilities are endless.

Realistically, we'll need to assess the situation when we meet them.

Alien, no. Unidentified flying object, yes. But if you mean UFO like those fictional disc shaped spaceships than no. Those are just movies and not the best source of information.

Never, Never, Never.
I would never convert to ANYTHING.

I have Realilty (getting Saved and Following Jesus Christ, Risen from the Dead.

The Aliens are comning in their UFO's (soon).

I Will Tell Them All "To GO to HELL" (or Back to Hell)
cause that is where their comning from.

(If I could, I'd Shoot'em too! with Real Bullets!)
(won't work on Devils, even if their Silver :)

i don't think they will have a religion if they are as advanced as you think they are...

of course, if you watch riddick, they may convert you into a necromonger...

and being a Halo fan, i know you are aware that the covenant forces may try to sway us to their religion, and we all know what happens if they win...
