You would actually be surprised.
I'm not sure about PhD's in religion, but we have a great many PhD's. ALOT of BA's and MA's. LOTS of BS in ALL sense of the words LOL

One day I might have one. It's not my goal as there really isn't much you can do with a PhD in religion but I was thinking once I finish law school, I can go back part time as a hobby to study religion or philosophy because it interests me.

I'm pretty sure Skalite has a PhD in philosophy. That's relevant.

PhD in the history of science/19th century literature. I have read a LOT of archival religious material.

Probably not too many.

Thank God that all the answerers in the Gardening and Landscape forum have PhDs in horticulture, and all the answerers in the Visual Arts section have PhDs in Art, and all the answerers in the science section have PhDs in Physics, and all the answerers in the ..... etc ad nauseum.

I have a Ph.D. and my dissertation topic was how people form, retain, and evaluate their beliefs.

I've also taught for 20 years at a Catholic college, where I am currently Chair of the Ethics committee.
