Hot bubble bath, new Cosmo or a really great book, a glass of white wine, and no noise.
Or taking a really long run on the beach by yourself with an MP3 player in hand. Sometimes taking a run and then a bubble bath, now that's a night!
Sometimes you have to stop and take some "me" time to make the world more livable; as great as life is. :)

I have been asking that myself and I think the best way to reduce stress is to do at least one thing you like a day(dance, sing, read.......anything). At the end of the week you can go on a trip or in a less crowded place and erase everything from your mind-works for me.

The best way to reduce stress is to do something you really enjoy. I myself like to play video games, write, read etc. I do these when I'm really stressed and need something to take my mind off of everything else. If you're too distracted to do those things you enjoy try taking a nice quiet walk. I love to take walks when I'm way too stressed to even think, it helps calm my mind and I can think about what's stressing me out in a calm fashion, this way I can try to find ways to either avoid the stress or address the stress without getting even more stressed out about it. Really doing anything that makes you happy will help lower your stress and help you out in the long run. If your stress is at work try a stress ball, I love playing with it when I'm getting stressed. They really do help, but find one that you like to "fiddle" with and it will help you out. I hope this helps you out, I know it works on me. Good luck.

Try exercise, and i do agree with the other answer here - brisk walking is a great way to exercise, and it's FREE! Plus, it gets you out of the house and also is a good way to clear your head.
The release of endorphins from your brain is another benefit.
Try 20 minutes, 4 times a week at first, and work your way up. You might look forward to walking after the first several times, too. I always do.

Stress is a direct result of resisting life.
To end stress, be OK with what is --- at all times.
